Staying locally overnight. Hungry for dinner and found this restaurant with an average rating of 4.5. Has the choice of a well known Ruby Tuesday or try a local restaurant. So we decided on Blue Ridge Grill.
Friendly atmosphere as you enter and the Manager On Duty sat us at our booth. Lyric was our server and man was she good! So positive, friendly, came to the table frequently enough, yet left us to our privacy so we could dine in as we planned.
As far as the food, the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich accompanied by a sweet potato, and the Italian Wedding Soup were delicious! I ordered the Pot Roast Melt but when it arrived, I was disappointed. I thought the meat would’ve tender since it “cooks all day,” but it was quite tough and not easy to chew. The gravy was bland. (I did see another similar review on the Pot Roast, yet I decided to order it since that’s what called my attention). Chef/ Something is missing in this recipe and I’m sure you all will figure it out.
The staff are great and the atmosphere is conducive to enjoying a meal. Although outdated, the restaurant is an acceptable place to eat.

Blue Ridge Grill in Bartow did not disappoint! The food was absolutely flavorful and cooked to perfection — every bite was delicious. What truly made our visit special was our server, Brittany. Went with a large party. The food was perfect. Even the liver and onions ( someone else ate that) commented it was perfect. My fish was perfect! Called my brother to tell him my birthday celebration would be absolutely the best there. The fried clams were the same as he and I would get at HoJo as children when out on the road with our parents. The clams brought back my childhood so vividly! The carrot cake had black walnuts so perfect! No sticky sweet icing it was delicious. Also the fries were crispy and the Cole slaw crisp and not too much vinegar. Really good. Being on food industry my whole life reviews are not something I usually do. Normally not impressed. This restaurant is really good. Reasonably priced also.

Great breakfast! The pancakes were like they were made a grandma’s house . . . Outstanding! The eggs were just r right and served hot. The hash browns and bacon had been cooked earlier. These were good but I could tell what had just been made fresh vs. what had not.

Great comfort food. We ordered special clam chowder, special baked French onion soup, prime rib with collards and salad, bacon wrapped meatloaf with collards and mashed potatoes, a kid’s pizza with fries, bogo white zin, sweet tea, and a sprite. Bill was an extremely reasonable $82. Very generous 10 oz cut of prime rib. Ask for Brittany, the BEST server, who was very attentive and visited our table often to check on us and chat. The restaurant was clean and large, but slightly dated. Bathrooms recently remodeled, though. No wait for a table, and the parking lot was nearly empty despite it being next to a hotel/motel. If we lived in the area, we’d be here weekly, but I definitely saved it for our next trip in this area!!

I ordered the daily special, 10$ burger and .99 cent root beer float. Instead of getting a normal burger patty that the restaurant offers, I got a super thin and cheap frozen patty that was maybe 2 oz spread thin. I know it’s a special at a decent price but it is unethical to offer a discount on food and it not be the normal food. Because my cousins patty melt looked perfectly thick and fat, advertised as an 8oz. The soups were subpar, the egg on my mother’s sandwich was raw, the only good food I had were the yeast rolls. I know this is a family owned mom and pop, but it’s not that hard to get it right when you have the tools.

Took about 10 minutes to get seated about 15 more minutes to get serviced not very busy ordered fried mushrooms and appetizer platter not that great. I have a potato skin too much roll sticks to an earrings and a bunch of green beans 18 bucks no thank you ordered chicken and dumplings to go home. Here’s my chicken and dumplings look like.
