Old Country Diner opened its doors on July 8, 2018, created from a longing for true Southern home cooking. Here, food is more than a meal it’s a memory. The kind your grandmother made for Sunday dinner, bringing family and friends together around the table. Southern dinner means “meat and two”: one hearty entrée with two comforting side dishes, made fresh daily from classic down-home favorites. At Old Country Diner, warmth, hospitality, and real home-cooked flavor are always on the menu — and every visit feels like coming home.

Very clean and friendly staff, food was good. The Greek salad was especially good. Almost ordered the Country Fried Steak, but after finding out the owner and chef were Greek we went for Eggplant parmesan. A little different presentation, fried eggplant placed on a bed of spaghetti noodles and covered with marinara sauce, and a generous portion of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan.

Something’s happened at the diner. I’ve been there in the past and it wasn’t bad. But it seems that the staff is new and not very aware of how to serve our answer questions about food. It was okay. But grilled shrimp we’re tiny and we’re not really grilled I think they were just fried in a pan. Flounder did not really have much taste at all. Baked potato was good. But they didn’t have any butter All they have is margarine. Also my friend asked for a piece of cake for dessert. And the counter it’s in plastic containers. Instead of taking it out of the container and putting it on a plate. The guy just brought it over in the plastic container.
I don’t think I’ll be returning to this place.

If you get close to this place, you need to stop. Our servers were lovely young ladies who were kind and efficient. We were offered soup while we waited on our order. It was delicious. Our food came out soon after. My salad was excellent. My son had an extra large plate of popcorn shrimp, fries and hushpuppies. My husband had the Greek plate and loved everything. I ordered a piece of Red Velvet cake to go. It was probably the best Red Velvet cake I have ever had. We stopped on our way home from an appointment. The restaurant is 45 minutes from our home, but we will be back.

Our family uad dinner here for the first time together and I loved everything about it. We got to pick our table- there was lots of clean seating and it was quiet and comfortable. Our waitress Hannah was an absolute gem. Our food was 10/10. The chicken soup was so yummy and I loved the chunks of carrots and celery. The country fried chicken in gravy was perfect. The chicken was golden and crispy and the gravy was thick and flavorful. Looking forward to coming back.

When you think of a family diner in a small town, the word you normally have go with that is not quality.
However, you would be wrong about this place. The quality of the food and ingredients is better than lots of higher price places. My lasagna looked amazing and you could see all of the effort that was put into it.

The diner was nice, food was very good and very generous. The waitress gave us a heads up to get the child’s plate of chicken tenders and even then it was more than I could eat.

My only comment about the atmosphere is that it was very loud, other than that it was a very satisfying experience.

This lovely little local diner was a great stop for dinner after a wilderness hike. My three friends and I were greeted by friendly and polite staff and were shown to our table. The food didn’t take too long to get to us and once we had it in our grasp it was hard to put the burgers down even for a second because they were absolutely delicious. These burgers were probably the best my friends and I have had when it comes to burgers.

The service however was less than expected although I believe it’s due to a staffing issue. My friends and i’s drinks were not filled when empty until much later than we would’ve liked. Still, the waitress was very polite and apologetic, and promptly filled our drinks.

Overall would give this place a 4/5 stars for amazing food, great country atmosphere, and good service.

Clean restaurant with friendly staff.. we had a burger and fries and coleslaw. We were looking for a down home hand padded juicy Burger and that is exactly what we got. Most places don’t have coleslaw that I care for but the coleslaw here was fantastic, we ate it all. The fries were hot and delicious. We got the opportunity to speak to the owners brother-in-law and he told us their story from Greece to Abbeville SC. We didn’t get the opportunity to try one of their desserts but they looked fabulous. The menu had Greek and Italian foods as well as a more traditional meat and two lunch on Sunday. They offer different sides, there is definitely something for everyone. They have now opened the pizza place next to their restaurant it’s for takeout only, can’t wait to try it next
