Have ordered take-out many times and had several of the menu items. Food tastes great. Can ask for mild when ordering the dishes labeled spicy and they come mild – the kitchen staff does what you ask. When they are busy, the counter staff start to move fast and can be a bit curt. I don’t take offense. They are busy because the food is excellent. As for atmosphere, the decor could use a little sprucing-up.

Best restaurant overall in the Delmar area in my opinion. And our favorite Asian in the Albany area. The Chinese/American dishes are fantastic and large portions (General Tso’s chicken is soo good if you dine in and it’s still a bit crispy). The sushi is awesome. And they also have Thai dishes. They also have delicious strong cocktails, sake, desserts… what’s not to like? The staff are so kind and attentive. My kids love the food. Thanks for being such a great restaurant!

The restaurant was nice and clean. The food was prepared fairly quickly. We tried the lunch menu: pad Thai, Thai basil, and fried rice along with sushi rolls. My favorite was fried rice as it had a lot of flavor and tasted very good. However, the server was not very nice. It took the server a long time to take our order and during taking our order, he left abruptly to another table, interrupting our order. Seemed impatient and rude. But I am still giving three stars because of the food.

I ordered takeout sushi for my family from Tomo Asian Bistro and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. We opted for a wide variety of sushi and some soup. Everything we received was not only delicious but also impressively fresh, making it clear that they prioritize quality. The portions were generous, ensuring there were leftovers for the next day. What’s even better is that the price was fair, not overly expensive for the excellent quality of food we enjoyed. Food is delicious! Wonton soup warmed me up after a chilly autumn bike ride! My friends were big fans of the fried ice cream. Drunken noodles was also a good choice. Portion size was enough that I took some home… for breakfast!

It’s a little too dark for me. Had a coupon, but it didn’t include lunch specials. I got a teriyaki salmon bento box for $15 (could pick vegetable, chicken or beef)Came with choice of soup, salad, three pieces of shumai, four pieces of California roll, and white rice. Soda was only $3-Pepsi products. Fabulous

I have gone to Tomo Asian Bistro for many years now. At one point I was ordering takeout every Tuesday night because they have a sushi special on Tuesdays. I have also dined in at times, accompanied by my two children. The food, no matter what I order at different visits is always excellent. The staff are always very attentive and extremely friendly. The one employee recognize me by name when I come in.

Do not go here if you have any type of allergy!!!!!! The Waiter staff is not considerate or knowledgeable when it comes to allergies. That is not professional as server! I have a gluten allergy – Tammy and I asked all the questions I typically ask when I order my food and they assured me it was gluten free. But when I pick up my food (drunken noodles) and it contained breaded chicken in it. I called and asked if the chicken was breaded for my GF meal and they said yes it is lightly breaded. I explained to them that if you say something is gluten free it should not have any gluten. I went back with the food and brought it to them, not touched. They give me a new one and the new food had tofu in it that was fried (I had asked them to only use veggies). Again not gluten free because they do not have separate fryers for their meat. This place is ridiculous and do not understand allergies or cross contamination. Wouldn’t recommend. They shouldn’t be serving people if they don’t understand the health consequences of people who eat things they are allergic to. I would not come again. The service it’s not good too I kept asking for some ice water but never come’ That is shame’

Very pleasantly surprised by the food quality at this place. Having lived over two decades in Asia, I highly recommend this place as I was not expecting like this outside of NYC. I got the Penang curry with beef which was outstanding and my spouse got the salmon bento box and we got the 3 sushi rolls. Besides being flavorful, the sushi has little rice and more inner ingredients which is my optimal preference.
