We kicked off our brunch with some serious eye candy—because the presentation here is chef’s kiss. The Banana Nut French Toast was the star of the show. Thick-cut slices, golden and griddled to perfection, topped with warm caramelized bananas, powdered sugar, and a buttery praline sauce that was not playing around. It was rich but not too heavy, with that ideal combo of crunch on the outside and softness in the middle. If you’re looking for something sweet that doesn’t feel overdone, this is it.
The brisket hash was another knockout. They don’t skimp on the brisket—each bite was juicy, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It was layered with perfectly crisped potatoes, bell peppers, onions, and topped with eggs cooked exactly how I asked. The whole plate had that “made from scratch” vibe that’s hard to fake.
Now, let’s talk pancakes. The blueberry stack looked like something out of a food magazine. Fluffy, thick, and filled with real blueberries—not just syrup on top. They soaked up the butter and syrup like champs, and the texture was so light, you’d think they had a pastry chef back there whipping clouds into batter.
The drinks also deserve a shoutout. The mimosa flight was a nice surprise—fresh-squeezed juices, not that syrupy stuff. We got orange, pineapple, and cranberry mixes, and each one hit in a different way. Fresh, crisp, and just enough kick to get brunch started right.
But what really takes The Toasted Yolk over the top is the service. Our server was quick, friendly, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Even with the crowd, our food came out hot, the drinks stayed full, and the vibe stayed fun. You can tell this team knows how to move a full house without rushing people out the door.
The atmosphere is bright, airy, and casual—perfect for a chill weekend brunch or a weekday treat-yourself moment. And for how much food we had, the bill didn’t break the bank. Quality, quantity, and care? That’s a win in my book.
Five solid stars. Whether you’re craving something sweet, savory, or just want a mimosa in hand before noon, The Toasted Yolk Café makes you glad you got out of bed.
While the host wasn’t exactly warm or welcoming, she wasn’t rude either. Thankfully, three other staff members—who seemed to be managers or supervisors—were all smiles and made up for that lack of energy with genuine greetings and great energy right from the start.
Our server, Cecilia M, started off a bit reserved, but quickly turned into a highlight of our visit. She was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. We ordered the Cowboy Scrambler, which continues to be a rockstar breakfast choice—loaded with onions, ham, bacon, scrambled eggs, and rich gravy all over fluffy biscuits. The side of hash brown casserole? Pure comfort food heaven!
Now, the only thing that continues to miss the mark for me is the coffee. I’ve given it a few chances, and each time it’s just too bitter for my taste. Sadly, this visit was no different—one sip and I was done.
A big shoutout to one of the supervisors who circled back to check on every table and ensure everything was going smoothly—excellent touch! Aside from the lackluster coffee and a neutral host experience, the service and food were both on point. If you’re looking for a hearty, satisfying breakfast with genuinely caring staff (and you don’t mind bitter coffee), The Toasted Yolk is still a great go-to!
