The ambiance is warm and inviting, the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, and every single dish we ordered was delicious. You can really tell care goes into both the food and the experience.
We tried the dumplings in chili oil, hot & sour soup, Mongolian beef, Singapore noodles, and a couple of rolls — and each dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. It’s rare to find a place where everything hits.
On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get, which made it even better. Such an unexpected gem in a spot we had totally overlooked. We’ll definitely be back.
Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area — don’t make the same mistake we did by walking past it for years.
Ordered 1 x gluten free JB roll. I received it and had no cream cheese.
Brought to staff attention and they ‘made a new one quickly’ which after I got back to my hotel room I realized was them smearing a small amount of cream cheese on top of most pieces.
Would not recommend this place if you have any allergy corners.
Staff were super friendly. But 0/10 overall for the food.
The food is on the expensive side, the seasoning pepper beef had triple the vegetable than meat. It tastes really good but are so many better restaurants with the same taste at a lower price.
The staff doesn’t even understand their own chinese items. Their attention skills are a bit lacking. The service took a long time to serve dishes that weren’t even that complex.
At least the atmosphere is friendly and quiet. They have good decor as well. Looks pleasant.
I ordered a sushi roll platter and a signature cocktail, and both were amazing. The drink was smooth, refreshing, and garnished with an orchid — a great touch. The sushi was balanced, not too heavy, and the quality of the fish really stood out. Even the ginger and wasabi tasted fresher than usual.
Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The staff made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.
Highly recommend for a date night, dinner with friends, or just treating yourself. Definitely one of the best sushi spots in Miami. I’ll be coming back for sure!
We waited almost an hour just to be attended. When the server finally came, the service was rushed and somewhat rude. On top of that, the order was incorrect, and instead of taking responsibility, the attitude was unpleasant.
Unfortunately, the long wait and poor customer service completely ruined the experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both efficiency and staff attitude.
Tanka it’s very upscale and attractive inside, the people that work there are very professional and welcoming and the food is delicious. Also conveniently, they’re open late, so it’s possible to get dinner if you’re arriving to one of the nearby hotels late or you want to eat after a Heat game.
The restaurant is so good that we ate there two nights in a row, which say a lot because there are so many good options in the area, but with their variety of dishes, you can eat sushi one night and tie the next and feel like you’re at a completely different restaurant. Sol was our waitress the second night and she was very knowledgeable about the different dishes on the menu, but I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the fabulous people that work there.
