Birthday dinner with the wife at one of our favorite places that we hadn’t been to in awhile! Prego is a beautiful restaurant and the service is always impeccable. Tonights dinner was fresh bread and fried polenta, oysters rockefeller, I had the shrimp fra diavalo and she had the chicken parmigiana. Tiramisu and a cup of coffee for dessert and we were more than satisfied! Prices at Prego are very reasonable for what you get and Jorge, our server, was friendly and professional! 5 stars Prego!

I ordered take out Ministrone soup that was requested by a friend. It was very good. Beautifully decorated still for Christmas. I want to go there for a sit down meal during Christmas. There are so many restaurants on that street. Their street sign did not stand out and I actually passed it and had to turn around.

This is my second time at this restaurant, the first visit the food and service were excellent. This time we both had the specials and were disappointed. The chicken melanzana was flavorless. The goat cheese was just sprinkled in top of the meal and not incorporated into the meal. I have had this dish elsewhere and the eggplant was thinly sliced and the goat cheese in layers. I will return but I will stick to the main menu. Specials should taste special and delicious, this was not the case. Also if the server in not aware of the desserts then the establishment should print a dessert menu/card so that patrons know the full dessert menu. The atmosphere was lovely as usual but the chicken and grouper were bland. I hate to pay for a dinner that I was unable to eat.

Stopped in for lunch and the food at Prego’s is top notch.
Fresh warm bread with dipping oil and a wonderful salad to start.
The lunch special was fish and muscles over pasta. It was outstanding, roasted garlic, a light tomato base and basil over linguine with Mahi surrounded with muscles. Delish!!

The food was ok. It’s not the best Italian food. It’s beautiful inside. The prices are reasonable and fair. I wanted the fettuccine but to add shrimp its an additional $9. Its only noodles. Any kind of meat is extra. I had the lasagna. The calamari was ok. The food did come out hot and fast. It was saucy but it lacked flavor. My son didn’t care for all the sauce. The sauce had a bitter taste to it. The bread was good. The ceasar salad was dry. I had to ask for extra dressing. The drink was good! The service was fast but needs work. When we arrived for our 7pm reservation, we still had to wait for seating and we were early. The server didn’t know the menu and seemed nervous. Maybe she was new. I had to ask for my salad after ordering it. I give it a 6. I’m not sure I’d try it again. It’s about 25 minutes from me. I don’t want to travel unless I know I’m going to enjoy it.

So disappointed! We planned a small family retirement party for my husband and ended up leaving after the entree was ended. We had asked about bringing a cake and were told it was fine, but took it home. The waitress apologized for not being around-she was nice and I left her $60. The owner compted half our dinner but many left upset. Due to glass all over our first table and in her drinks, on my daughter’s leg and chair we were moved but stood for ten minutes. My son wanted to leave at that point. -it was an accident but not handled well. When we were reseated we were given our food barely warm and either it was microwaved or set under a heat lamp. I sent mine back and it arrived warm-others,were irritated but ate some of theirs and took the rest home-they said it was not good. We didn’t see our waitress again, but I felt sorry for her. She was expected to wait tables and be the bartender! I tipped her 20 percent of the full bill anyway. Our wine arrived again after the meal was almost over-we drank it quickly and left. I have eaten here and when we were deciding on a place to eat -I thought this would be a good choice as we wanted something nice! In the past, I have enjoyed the food and service. Neither was good last night. I am terribly disappointed as all 8 of us left feeling sad and not festive (and thirsty-there was no one to fill water glasses.). A bartender should never have to wait tables too-my son-in-law is a manager at an upscale restaurant in DC and he said we should never return here! I owned a small restaurant for several years and I know things happen but the customers shouldn’t have to be the ones who suffer. On a good note, prior to the glass explosion, the appetizers and mocktails were good. The rest of the evening was not. The place is very pretty and I have enjoyed eating there, but wish we had gone to another suggested restaurant-my husband’s 25 year retirement dinner was pretty bad! The staff passing by were nice and took our picture.

Amazing!! This dining experience has truly leveled upwards from what a great place it was previously. Another restaurant in town cancelled a 50th birthday celebration for my close friend as the guest were arriving and Prego’s accommodated/hosted us at the last minute and the service was excellent!!! The atmosphere is classic and elegant and the staff is top tier. I highly recommend and truly a ten out of ten! Thank you for making our experience memorable.

We chose Prego’s to host a client appreciation dinner and loved our experience – so did our clients. Service and food were incredible, and the staff was super helpful in working with us on curating wines for the table at dinner. From start to finish we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our meal. Highly recommended for any occasion!

I hesitate to give negative reviews because I like to support local businesses, but I rely on google reviews and appreciate feedback that helps me in my decision making. My husband and I tried Prego’s for the 3rd time since they opened at this location in 2021. We SO want to like it. (We tried it once in their previous location as well). But, every time, we leave a bit disappointed. What I can say is that the restaurant is lovely, the staff is terrific and the Christmas decor right now is beautiful. It is always busy, so it’s clear they have a loyal following. This place feels “special”. With all the positive reviews, we decided to give it one more shot. We made a reservation, sat at the very nice bar while waiting for our table. I ordered a chardonnay. My husband an old-fashioned. His drink was great. They only had one chardonnay by the glass..a relatively sweet Frontera. I took one sip and asked to exchange it for a club soda. The bartender was very nice about it. Their wine-by-the-glass selection is limited.
We both ordered the veal saltimbocca. It was a generous portion and well presented. I was happy to see that the veal was pounded thin, and I was hopeful. Unfortunately, the veal was tough, the sauce was underwhelming, and the prosciutto probably seared long enough that it became too salty. I scraped most of the ham off and ate every bit of the veal as I wanted the protein. So, obviously, it wasn’t terrible. The sauteed spinach was very good. And, as busy as they were, our delightful server was cheery and attentive. But this was our last attempt.
