This place really shines with stir-fried dishes. The wok hei is strong and well executed, easily one of the best spots if you’re craving bold, classic Sichuan small plates.
Recommended:
Mapo tofu (balanced numbing spice), fresh pepper stir-fried snail meat, spicy stir-fried pork kidney, shredded potato with green pepper, and chives with crispy tripe. Honestly, most of their quick stir-fry dishes are very solid.
Not recommended:
Mao xue wang, grilled fish, and boiling fish dishes — these are noticeably weaker compared to their stir-fry lineup.
If you know what to order, this is a great spot for authentic, high-heat Sichuan flavors.

This place perfectly suits my Chinese palate; the stir-fried goose intestines and eggplant are must-order dishes.

We unexpectedly stumbled upon this restaurant while shopping near the mall, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. Located inside the Great Wall Mall, it offers food far from the usual mall food. The dishes were exceptional! I had never tasted Sichuan cuisine like this before. I ordered the fried lamb with cumin, and the flavors were mind-blowing. If you want to try spicy, authentic Sichuan, you must try it at this place. The service was excellent. You have to scan the QR code at your table to order. They have a vast selection of food, including many vegetarian options. A great portion of food. Kids friendly, they have high chairs for the kids. Wheelchair accessible. Take the side entrance instead of the mall’s main entrance to go directly to the restaurant.

Nice spot for some southern Chinese cuisine. This place isn’t anything fancy but delivers on the food well.

The spicy cold chicken was quite good. It was soft and tender with an enjoyable amount of heat. The lamb on a stick was also good but felt like a small portion given the large amount of dried peppers on the plate. The spicy fish filet was also good and tender with a bit of kick.

There’s a QR code that leads you to an app to order your foods with lots of options and pictures if you’re not very familiar with the Chinese dishes and their names. I would recommend you to get the lamb on the stick. I usually order that, cabbage, and spicy chicken. The food portion is huge. It’s best if you come with friends or family. The foods seem pretty authentic and the price is cheap. The servers only ask you if you want water or hot tea and bring out the food. They won’t come and check on you, so don’t expect attentive servers. If you need to go boxes, they’ll ask you to grab them yourself.

So many Szechuan restaurants clobber you with overpowering flavors. It was really refreshing to find a spot that highlighted the subtle and varied flavors of the region. So many unique and interesting dishes to choose from. We had the shredded pork with Beijing sauce and a pork and pickled vegetable soup. Both were excellent.

Good Szechuan spot in the Great Wall Shopping Mall. Seated quickly and ordered via the QR code menu. Neither dish was too spicy but had the classic numbing sensation from the peppers. Highly recommend!

Six years later, 09/2024 update: used to be our fav place. But the flavors and taste are just way off lately. Not sure if changed ownership or cook. Won’t go back.

The spicy beef noodle soup is The BOMB! Fantastic! 90% true copy of the Sichuan noodle I have had there. Will be give 6 out of 5 just for that if I could! They are also speedy FAST at making the dishes after the order is placed. Like Dick’s burger kinda fast! Don’t know how they did it. Not really much service but who cares if their foos is so amazing! First time here, I’m hooked! The prices are incredible! I ordered way more than the two of us can finish and it’s about $50. The leftover is enough for another meal for us.

As I write this review I am still sitting here in a glorious food coma stupor.

Service is good. Quick seating and asked what we’d like to drink – we got tea to sip on first then lemon-infused fresh iced water for the volcanic main dishes.

Food was soooo good, very authentic taste and came out quick – that’s the true power of cooking with a super hot wok! We tried the cured pork belly, the potato strips, the steamed fish in bean curd, and the spicy noodle soup. All very good choices! And next time I’ll be sure to try the other things they have – the menu is decent in variety with pictures of every dish.

Pricewise this place is also pretty good – most dishes range from $7 to $12 with a couple specialty and family size dishes in the upper teens to $20 range.

Add this place to the list of restaurants inside Great Wall Mall that you need to try!
