I love a good local deli and sandwich but this just isn’t it. Got a half sandwich of the turkey pesto and a half bacon Avo caprese. For the quality it was way over priced at $21 dollars for both. The quality doesn’t justify the price.

I ran out of the house this morning and forgot my lunch for work. I have seen this place in passing but never stopped. Decided to DoorDash and Roman’s popped up. I ordered and what a wonderful surprise. I ordered the Mac burger, added some bacon, and got the potato salad. WOW! I will definitely be giving you guys my business again!!! My burger was incredible and that was some of the best potato salad I have ever had! Thank you for a very enjoyable lunch!

We got our sandwiches to go for a day of hiking and they were fantastic. The sandwiches were so tasty and not some ordinary sandwich from a national chain. Really unique. I recommend the avocado mojo. We will be back.

Excellent Veggie burger that stands out from other veggie burgers. This one is clearly homemade with actual black beans and lentils. The burger is also loaded with red onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a special sauce. Fantastic sandwich even though it was on the pricey side. The potato and pasta salads were also very refreshing and fresh. I also recommend the chicken salad sandwich which includes sundried tomatoes that add a beautiful flavor to the sandwich.

I gave it a five because the Hamburger is the best in western North Carolina. I don’t know what the meat is marinated in but it is amazing and I’ve been treating myself here for over a decade. This is not a place to find fried food but you can get some healthy sides. I just go for the burger. Call ahead and make sure they are open since their primary business is for the downtown work crowd. Now, I almost gave them a three star for location, panhandling while sitting outside, and the occasional transient you will have to step over to get to this great place to eat. BUT, that is not their fault but the fault of the city of Asheville which needs to be cleaned up. Update: On my last visit Haywood Street was a little more cleaned up, but I would not venture out after dark.

Absolutely delicious! I lived in Italy Italy for 3 years and their caprese sandwich was spot on. My mom also got their chicken salad sandwich which was also delicious. The coleslaw was light and refreshing. We also came at lunch time and they were quick and friendly. Overall, very pleased and we will be back!

We LOVED Romans Deli! We heard so much about their delicious sandwiches so it was a must try! We came all the way from New York so we figured to try a few different things off the menu. My absolute favorite was the turkey cranberry sandwich. I also really enjoyed the salads and the sesame chicken. We came back a few times during our trip because everything we tried was just so delicious!
