As a man whose eaten a few bowls of ramen in his time, here and abroad, I can tell you this up there with the best. The broth was layered with umami, the pork was soft, the eggs perfectly made and all around fantastic. We came early (5.45) and it packed out quickly so come early to guarantee a spot. You won’t regret it. Will definitely be back next time we’re back in town. A+ all round.

We got the Ume Shiso with Black fungus, and the Red Tonkotsu with extra pork. We also got warm sake.
The extra $5 for a slice of pork was a bit much I thought, and they gave our sake to someone else in error. That happens. We told them we hadn’t got it and they were quick to rectify it.
Other than those mild things, it was amazing. The pork was beautiful, the broth of the red Tonkotsu was absolutely perfect in spice level. Not too spicy at all, but just a nice kick.
The Ume Shiso was beautiful too. The broth, again, was spot on.
I would definitely come back. The staff were lovely, the food amazing, if a little on the MARGINALLY steep side… I suppose they have massive rents so that’s not a surprise at all.
Give it a go, you definitely won’t regret it.

Love this place. Amazing food with beautiful flavours everytime. The gorgeous decor really does set a wonderful atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and warm. I’m now a regular at this place. Best ramen in the area in my opinion!

Absolutely lacking in taste! The broth doesn’t even have flavour and for the price I’d expect a little better. I’m so disappointed and I can’t believe this place has good reviews. $4 Instant noodle we had last night was so much tastier. Shame to the Japanese cuisine.

We always go for the Edamame, spicy chicken wings, prawn gyoza and ramen (we tend to try a different one every couple of weeks) alongside a couple asahi.
Kento and crew are the friendliest bunch around, we are very grateful we came across Sou Ramen..Also, buy yourself a T-shirt..

Easily the most delicious Ramen I have ever had. Sou teleports you to Japan and fills your stomach and heart with happiness. I recommend the half’n half, two perfectly sized dish’s of a Ramen and a Donburi. I recommend the Black Tonkotsu / Karaage Chicken combo.
