What a delightful restaurant. Top was a friendly, kind and efficient waiter. Gosh the food was SO tasty!. Highly recommend this Thai restaurant. We all had different foods and each one was delicious; pad Thai, satay chicken kebabs. And very delicious lemon lime and bitters – homemade ❤️.

We love Thai cuisine, and our dinner experience at Ruby Modern Thai did not disappoint! We were greeted and showen to a table straight away. Atmosphere is warm & coasy. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Did not wait long for service. The menu is well written, with just the right amount of choices, to choose from. Staff helped with a couple selections as there were not pictures on the menu- but they were super helpful and patient with us. We ordered the Thai Red Curry, coconut rice, and a beef stir fry. Very delicious! Big portions. We both ate and had so much left over. Can’t wait to visit again!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Absolutely incredible food and service! The staff were so happy and attentive despite it being a busy night. The food came out quickly, the portions were generous and the flavor was truly outstanding! The best Thai green curry I have ever had!

This Thai restaurant is fantastic! The food is absolutely delicious—every dish bursts with amazing flavors that really hit the spot. From the aromatic curries to the fried rice, each plate is well-prepared and full of authentic Thai essence.
Now, fair warning: the staff are super busy since there aren’t enough hands, so you’ll need a bit of patience. But trust me, it’s totally worth the wait. The incredible taste of each dish makes up for it easily. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you love Thai food!

Portion sizes were quite small for the price. The fried rice and Pad Thai were spread thinly across the plate, and the hot stir-fry included lettuce leaves similar to supermarket salad greens, which is unusual compared to most Thai places in Melbourne. Flavour was acceptable but overall the experience felt fairly average.

Food was great! But it’s pretty busy for a Friday night with only two girls working there . Friendly but slow lol but overall experience was great. We had grilled pork, duck curry ( yum and tastes great with Coconut rice) mixed entries (all deep fried n probably frozen, not recommended) , and spicy soup( great, sour n not spicy)

Food was pretty average, and the restaurant lighting was super dim. It does not quite match with what we expect for a restaurant that rated at 4.8.
When we asked for the bill in the end, it shows they even charged a $1.95 for a fresh chili, we were a bit shocked… as we asked if they have chili oil, they said they don’t but they can offer us some fresh chili without telling us it would cost $2 for the fresh chili. So we said ok fine…we have never been charged for a fresh chili anywhere in the world before, not to mention it was only like 5 tiny pieces of chopped chili, it is insane…we told them they should have told us so we won’t ask for it.
So just be mindful, 5 pieces of chopped fresh chilis can cost you $2 in here!

My partner and I just got back from Thailand and visited here as we were craving Thai food. It was delicious and did not disappoint! The food itself was exceptional & the service matched. Definitely recommend the duck salad / duck curry & the curry puffs if you like a lots of flavour but not too spicy ☺️

Great food and friendly service. The food came out fairly quickly despite the restaurant being very busy. We had the mixed entree and the duck curry is so delicious!! We saw a lot of people ordering the prawns stir fry which looked really good, would love to try it next time!
