The food was fantastic! The best Pad Thai I’ve had in Winnipeg. The calamari is delicious and a nice sized portion. Loved the peanut sauce that came with it.
The service was good.
The booths are cozy.
We will be back!

Well friends will go anywhere in the city to meet up. The choice last evening was Coconut Island Thai Cuisine. I may have driven past this place many times going to Football or soccer or just visiting friends down Pembina.

The food was fast, like they knew what we wanted. The atmosphere was inviting. Clean, loved the art work on the walls. Each table was private, you could have a conversation without the next table hearing you.

Let’s get back to the food. We choose Pad See-ew, Stuffed Chicken Wings ‘n Basil Stir Fry. The food had our tastebuds dancing as the flavour rolled across my tongue. The cheese cake was best to end the meal. Did not feel rushed as we sat talked to enjoy the evening and meal.

As I sat there with my friend, I noticed there traffic was steady for take out.

Who knew this gem of a restaurant was there. Well I do now. I will have to bring my boyfriend here when we have a moment to relax from our sports.

Thank you again for the wonder food ‘n service.

Super fast service for pickup, and food was edible, but with a near 5 star rating, we expected good Thai food.

We ordered pad see-ew (sieu)– a dish we’ve had a hundred times that is thick rice noodles, Chinese broccoli and meat or Tofu (and often carrot).

We received a container with thick rice noodles, celery, red pepper, carrot and chicken.

The restaurant was closed by the time we got back to the hotel so there was nothing we could do about it. It’s wild that there’s such a high rating for a restaurant that can’t get such a common dish right.

I have been to many of the top places in the city for Thai food because my wife loves it. Me not so much but I don’t hate it. Checked out Google reviews on different places and this one seemed to stick out so we checked it out. Again completely on the opposite side of the city when we normally go to Magic Thai which is not bad at all. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. The staff were very friendly. We ordered the Red Curry Soup, Soft Egg Noodle, and Pad Eggplant. All the food we ordered had so much flavor. More flavor then we have ever had at any Thai restaurant in the city. I’m not a huge fan of Thai buy I would definitely keep going now if the food always tasted like this. The only thing that caught me off guard is that most Thai places give you free steamed rice with your Red Curry Soup but this place didn’t. Not a big deal because the food made up for it. You can ask for no MSG and the food wasn’t really greasy like other places. Highly recommended if you have never tried this place.

2nd visit and i was still very impressed with the food. I also added some pictures of what we ate.

Awesome place for thai food!

I tried both dinner and lunch. I prefer dinner. Lunch menu was little too expensive and not worth to try for me. I would rather have more dinner dishes with that price.

Dinner was awesome! My favourite noodle pat-see-u was perfect, coconut prawn and papaya salad were delicious, curry was good too. I would go back for dinner for sure!

Very Good!!!
Just 2 very small issues:
– Calamari, needed a few seconds longer in the fryer.
– Chow Mein, more veggies (was very little).

We order from here all the time and love it but they now have smaller take out containers. We used to have two meals for $74 and now hardly any leftovers. Bring back the larger takeout containers!!

A very good Thai experience.
Located in a stripmall, the average looking restaurant does not reflect what is inside. There is parking on the street in front, parking behind the restaurant and side streets. We had no issues finding parking.
The inside is simple and nice. Some lovely images on the walls. We got seated near the door and there was a cold draft that was the only downside of the evening.
We had some summer rolls, a medium tom ka soup that was enough for two. The two main dishes we had tasted phenomenal and not greasy. They customized the spiciness for us, the got it exactly right, tangy but still edible.
Decent portions and reasonable prices.
Really enjoyed the food. I would recommend and will be going back.
