I have known about this spot for a while, but never got around to trying it for some reason until recently. This is a restaurant I was warned about before going in that the prices are a bit steep. That said, I wanted to see for myself. The experience initially was okay. It is the type of place where you just seat yourself and get your own menus which I did not realize at first. It started off a little awkward for that reason because my friend and I were like “do we get menus?” Anyhow, once that was done and we ordered, everything was fine for the most part. I will add that they only had canned sodas which is definitely a con. This means no free refills as I was rationing my soda throughout my meal. I did not want to pay for a refill, and prefer fountain soda anyway. You also have to get up and get your soda from the fridge which is not the end of the world, just something I prefer for a takeout experience opposed to a dine in. I got one of the meat platters which came out to 28 bucks and change plus tax. That is a little much for what I received and my friend agreed. The quality of the food was definitely good. The meat was tender and juicy for the most part, just wish they served it with a little more rice for that price. I only had one bit of grizzle in the meat, but that is it. I can not complain about the quality because they definitely can make a good kebob. The food also came out quite fast which I appreciate; the service was pretty quick once we sat down. I was told their prices used to be lower, but this was on the more expensive end compared to kebob places. This is definitely not a bad local spot and I am glad that we gave it a try. If you like kebab food and don’t mind spending a few extra bucks, give it a try and bring your own bottled drink if they let you.

Delicious Iranian food. Very clean and friendly service. The place is small and cozy, so if you plan on bringing a big group, it’s best you call ahead and reserve a table. I believe we have tried literally everything on the menu in just the two times I’ve visited (we were a sizable group and ordered different things to try). The food is consistently delicious, and the meats always cooked to tender perfection. I also really love the pickles!!

This place is a little gem in Cliffside Park that offer authentic Persian food. Decor is nice and clean and tables are well setup.
Service is friendly, and the food is amazing. Perfect combo and a must visit if you have a craving for kababs.

The kubideh kebab was so good. I think it is the best Persian kebab in NYC. The Gheimeh stew was delicious, maybe frozen before, but the taste was so traditional.
Prices are so affordable. Personal behaviour was friendly.

The falafel with rice was good although bit dry. Got the shallot yogurt condiment to add moisture. Must have ice cream with saffron and pista cardamom. Great service and hygiene. The prices were fair for the offering.

I have been to Kabob on the Cliff twice in different branches. The food tastes usually like an authentic Persian food. I ordered Ash-e-Reshte and Shishlik the last time I was there. The two missing stars are for the price and the service! This dish is over priced in my opinion, although it tasted really good. The other thing is they don’t serve TAP WATER when you are waiting for your order! We asked several times for tap water, but it seems they are not wiling to serve water and they want you to order some drinks that they can charge you on!

The food is great. The manager was on the phone the entire time while serving us, she had put her hands in my cup of ice I requested #ew #gross. I left her a 2$ cash tip. I paid with a card she left her self a 40$ tip. Recommend everyone to pay cash. Fire this nasty person that serves you while on the phone with her friends on what’s app out of the country.

This is $26. Half rotten tomato and 6 cubes of meat and some rice. This place has gone down in quality and quantity.
Just as other customers have mentioned below, do not order takeout from Kabob on the Cliff, the portions are half the size and the meat is hard to chew and doesn’t taste good at all. I will never go to this place again.
