The real One
Loved this place! We went around 10:30 on a Sunday and had about a 15–20 minute wait, which was reasonable. The interiors are bright and lively, and our waitress was friendly and very helpful.
The kids’ menu was excellent and absolutely worth the price — portion sizes were just right for my 9-year-old and 3-year-old. The main menu is quite extensive, but the only downside for us was the lack of chicken sausage; since we don’t eat other types, our options were a bit limited.
That said, everything we ordered was fresh and tasted great. We’d definitely come back!

My first time trying the eggs up grill & I ordered the French toast and it was undercooked and raw inside, which was disappointing. I also had the Grand Classic everything was very delicious, but the bacon could have been cooked a little longer.

Great place for breakfast! Wonderful, high quality, tasty food at very reasonable prices. It’s close to where we live as well as a lot of other places we frequent (schools, church, kid’s extracurricular activities, etc), so we are in here regularly. We’ve never had a bad dining experience. Service is always excellent, very friendly, quick, and attentive. Food comes out quick and hot, even when they’re very busy. Their cooks are good at what they do. The facilities are always very clean, orderly, and are very good working conditions. Their “red, white, and bacon” pancakes are AMAZING! Pancakes with bacon IN the batter. My wife loves it here too because she is gluten intolerant, and they have plenty of gluten-free options, even their pancakes. It gets very busy on weekends, so get there early or expect to wait a little, but it is worth it. They do have outdoor seating too. Overall we feel it is a great value that offers a wonderful dining experience.

This was our first time visiting an Eggs Up Grill, and the entrance setup was confusing. The first door you see says “To Go Only,” which made my heart drop because we came to dine in. Eventually we realized that door is only for pickup, and the actual entrance is further down. Clearer signage would really help.
Our server, Abby (per the receipt), greeted us promptly, which I appreciated. But once we started ordering, the communication took a turn. When I tried to order three kids-menu items, I genuinely thought it meant an entrée, a side, and a drink. When I asked for clarification, she said she doesn’t know and I would need to tell her what I want. I was asking for the list of options to choose from, obviously not asking her what I would order. Her tone and facial expressions made me uncomfortable.
It’s really important for a waitress/waitor to be kind, approachable, and willing to guide customers — especially first-time guests. Instead, her communication made me feel hesitant to ask follow-up questions, and it gave the whole ordering process an awkward vibe.
The kids meals themselves were adorable. The pancake was shaped exactly like Mickey Mouse, served with banana slices and a cup of fruit (strawberries, melon, grapes). Super cute presentation.
Me and my husband ordered the cinnamon French toast. I’m a cinnamon lover, and a lot of restaurants overdo it, but this was cinnamon bread and it was delicious. I also asked if I could swap the breakfast meat for grits. Abby again made a face like the request was odd or probably not allowed, but once she entered it, the system accepted it immediately. So it felt like I had to figure things out myself instead of being guided.
The food overall was fantastic — truly the highlight. Our total was around $40 before tip, which felt reasonable. And despite the name “Eggs Up Grill,” the menu wasn’t overly egg-focused, which was great for someone like me who isn’t big on eggs.
Overall, the food was outstanding and absolutely worth returning for. With clearer signage and friendlier, more approachable communication from the server, the experience could’ve been close to perfect.

My husband and I came here for a Valentine’s Day brunch while we are visiting Charlotte and we had a great experience. Our server, Alicia, was attentive and helpful. Food was tasty. Good comfort diner food.

Service was extremely bad. Went on a Tuesday morning, 5 or 6 tables used with about 15 customers so not busy at all. Normally go on the weekend and haven’t been in several months either.
Table we sat at was cleared, but not wiped down. It took longer than it should have to take our order after we said we needed a little longer.
Food was barely warm, except home fries. When food was brought out I had been out of coffee for 10 minutes, which was not a bad thing because the coffee wasn’t as good as it normally is. There were 3 servers in the store. The female server was very attentive with her customers. The 2 male servers seemed more interested in their phones.
If this is a new owner or manager the service isn’t what it used to be (at least the weekend service is/was better).
We have had much better food and service here before and I hope this isn’t a new normal. If so, there will not be many more trips here.

My boyfriend and I moved to the Charlotte/Tega Cay area recently and I have to say this is probably some of the worst service we received. We have been to this location twice, in hopes the first time was a fluke but we are definitely not returning. You are constantly rushed and interrupted when ordering, our food sat in the window while our server chatted with bar guest for about 15 minutes before it was even brought to us. Our food has been completely cold both times we have went, we weren’t given any refills and the first time we went I brought the cup up to the server and she refilled it, yet sat there chatting to a man at the bar for another 10 minutes and FORGOT to bring the drink back?? The second time our server didnt check on us once and we had to ask someone else for refills and to pay. We asked for crispy bacon and the picture below is what they gave us. Definitely do not recommend this place. The eggs up grill in rock hill is 1000x better. The staff is way friendlier and theyre not rushing to flip tables.
