We were quite disappointed with our visit to Paradis d’Asie. The restaurant has an outdated feel, and even small details like the badly set menus add to that impression. The food, while served promptly, lacked the freshness and flavour one would hope for from Asian cuisine, and the presentation was not very appealing. With some modernisation and more care in the kitchen, this could once again be a great place to dine.

Wonderful food. Service was fine. There was only a couple of people in, we went early! So atmosphere was non-existent with the other couple of people! But there was a fair bit of singing from the waiter which made a great difference. Will certainly return the next time we are here.

Padthai wasn’t a pad thai it was more like fried noodles.
Ordered Ramen but received other item.
It was same as Fried noodles just noodles design was changed.
Dont expect as you seen in the picture
But owner is nice also service person.

Good quality Asian food and good size portions. Friendly service too and excellent location in the shaded alleyways of the old port area. Recommended.

The food was really good and the staff was really friendly. We went to Thailand so we know what a good Pad Thai tastes like and it was better than some of the Pad Thai in Thailand. Thank you very much for a nice dinner in La Rochelle! Hopefully we can come back someday 🙂

Pretty disappointing. Unfortunately a great number of the dishes on the menu were “no longer” available at 8 pm . The starters were very ordinary, pre-cooked pulled “crab” salad that had a very strong very strange taste. The dip (sauce) served with the bags was absolutely tasteless, the rice was cold already when served. The main dish – ” fresh fish of the day” was not dorade or sole or bar as one might expect on the Atlantic coast – it turned out to be salmon, again rather the canned version. We told the waiter, who was really friendly and committed, what we really thought. After all he asked as the French do “ça a été ?” A minute later the patron /cook approached us in a pretty rude manner… Instead of being grateful for an honest and qualified feedback. Definitely no paradise here.
