Bought fried rice from here numerous times. Decided to get a beef bowl and white rice, waste of money. $15 for some green beans and maybe 2 ounces of beef. This place skimpy on the meat, don’t waste your time or money here. So disappointed. They put more beef in the beef fried rice. Super disappointed, never ordering here again.

I’ve been in Texas for about 4 years now . Me and my husband have searched high and low for good fried rice ( We are from Mississippi) . I was on the highway one day and decided to try this place out. I was so impressed with the food and service. The eggrolls , shrimp fried rice ,& veggie fried rice was so good that we have been back several times. I finally found a place after all the years we been in Texas. Whoever is the kitchen does a wonderful job ! This is me and my family go to place. I told all my coworkers and friends on how good the food is here. I can’t believe I been passing this place up! 10/10!!!!

I had a great experience here! Brittany at the register was very nice and helpful, she asked if we had any questions and explained everything really well. The food was also really filling! We got the fried rice, flat noodles, and shrimp egg rolls and everything was delicious. We went on Valentine’s Day and they had a cute backdrop with photo props, which was really cute. Would definitely come back 🙂

this place is absolutely so delicious. I get take out whenever I don’t feel like cooking at home. It stays warm for a long car ride home. It’s worth the drive. The food is fresh and hot. The flavor is so good. Highly recommend!!

It’s literally dead inside but the food they have this Chris Fried Rice that I can’t get enough of. The first time I went the girl said if you don’t eat one of the meats that come in it we add extra of the meats you do, that’s a lie!!! We be searching for the meat but the rice itself is so good we order it as a side to another meat like fish or chicken. The new guy will mess up your order so check it before you leave. I said NO SPICE, and got mild which for me is hot. I had heartburn all night! Went back two days later and he claimed he didn’t have my call in order and the young lady over heard him and went to the bank to get it, he didn’t go check but I LOVE the CFR so I’ll go back but just know what to expect and what to do.

Update/Edit: Same as the update below they don’t do extra spice levels anymore BUT more recently they’ve changed their recipe and the spiciest option is now close to on par with the 6-8x extra spicy I used to order. I feel like this is a fair compromise and I’m very happy to see this change!
Update: Still really good food, but they stopped allowing you to order extra spicy on top of the normal spice levels. I really enjoyed that about this establishment and regularly ordered 6-8x extra spicy. Now I can’t get the heat levels hot enough for me even with adding additional heat when I get home.
The Chris Fried Rice is some of the best I’ve ever had. Their homemade shrimp egg rolls are also quite tasty. Customer service is always great, but the thing I like the most about this place is they’ll make your food as spicy as you want it, with what seems to have no limit. I love spicy food and no restaurant ever hits my spicy limit, but this one will! Try an 6-8x extra spicy sometime for those that love heat. They don’t mess around here! Haha. I’d also like to add that for a fast food place, their food quality is above average. Keep up the good work Rice House Express! I’ll be back!

We where coming down from Austin on a weekend outing and by luck stopped in, let’s just say we will be regular customers. We where greeted at the door and we asked for recommendations, we wanted the Chris’s fried rice, and OMG. As we sat down a gentleman asked us if it was our first time? We said yes, fearful of what he would say next ..to our surprise it was the owner Chris sitting next to us. 5 minutes later he brings us a sample, proud of his food and the effort that’s put into it. Well balanced, great portions, amazing price point…plus Chris fried rice can be make with a little heat to crank up the flavor. We took all his recommendations and now we are hooked. This isn’t some regular fried rice joint. From the moment u walk in you quickly realize something is different. We had the orange chicken and sweet and sour soup. Wow … Everything here is taken up a notch. We will be back guys!
