Dubai Chocolate Strawberries, Disappointing for the Price
Anyone who orders Dubai-style chocolate strawberries knows the main highlight is the pistachio cream & kanafeh, not the chocolate, & strawberries alone.
The pistachio cream is what makes Dubai desserts premium, special, and worth the higher price.
For nearly $16, I expected a proper amount of pistachio cream built into the dessert.
Instead, my cup was basically:
chocolate-coated strawberries
a very light dusting of kanafeh
and almost no pistachio cream at all
I had to move strawberries around and literally search the cup to even find it.
What little was there seemed smeared against the sides, a bit on top, or barely at the bottom, not layered, not spooned in, and definitely not enough to justify the price.
If you’re going to charge Dubai dessert prices, the pistachio cream needs to be present, and it wasn’t.
I even called the store afterward to ask how they assemble this dessert because I thought maybe something went wrong. But based on what I received, it felt incomplete and not built the way Dubai desserts are supposed to be.
Cookie Monster Shake – Also Not Impressive
The person who ordered this said it wasn’t great at all, not well-balanced, and definitely not worth the price.
Especially considering Frutilandia usually makes visually appealing, flavorful treats, this one fell flat.
Overall:
Between the lack of pistachio cream, the tiny amount of kanafeh, the high price, and the disappointing shake, this visit was not worth the cost.
Dubai desserts are known for richness, layers, and premium ingredients — but this felt rushed and under-assembled.
I wouldn’t order the Dubai Chocolate Strawberries here again unless the portions and quality are improved.
You order at the counter, so it’s very casual. We ordered the Carne asada fries, torta, and strawberry cheesecake drink. They were all wonderful! It is also connected to the Taqueria Factory which has even more delicious food and a bar if that’s your thing. Our party had a lot to choose from food wise. We will definitely be coming back to try more.
I specifically asked for cotija cheese and even reminded the person on the phone to make sure it wasn’t forgotten. Despite that, I was charged for the cheese and did not receive it.
I normally wouldn’t leave a review, but it’s not okay to charge a customer for items they didn’t receive, because they charge extra for the cheese. I paid $51 for 3 items. This was very disappointing.
