My husband and I absolutely loved Causa! I’ll admit I was a little nervous going in after seeing some negative reviews about the service, but our service was impeccable from start to finish.
The fish imported every 4 days from the Japanese fish market, and the quality shows. We had our fish prepared simply by having it grilled over charcoal and it was phenomenal. The food overall was delicious, and the presentation was so colorful, fun, and thoughtful.
Don’t skip the cocktail menu; i’s a must-try.
Highly recommend!

Surprised by the recent negative reviews! My mom and I had a fantastic time here. We happened to go on the first night of the new menu, but we wouldn’t have known if they didn’t tell us. We loved all of the dishes in the four-course tasting, which felt like the perfect amount of food. You can tell they care about presentation just as much as taste, and the Peruvian influence was apparent. Some of the dishes were a little tart for my liking, but my mom loved the brightness. Service was fantastic and bonus points for the hip hop/r&b playlist.

After a last-minute change in our travel plans, this restaurant proved to be a wonderful choice for celebrating my husband’s birthday. We arrived feeling cautiously optimistic after noticing a number of negative reviews that had been posted around the same time, which in hindsight seemed questionable…
We are truly grateful that we kept our reservation. The six course tasting menu with wine pairing was exceptional from start to finish. Each course was thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, all while being complemented by an exceptional wine pairing. We were also impressed by the team’s collaborative approach to ensure that we felt welcomed and cared for.
Kudos to Chef Carlos for delivering such a delightful culinary experience, and a special thanks to Kristen and Chris for their attentive and gracious service. We look forward to returning again soon.

Fantastic Peruvian-Japanese tasing menu with excellent service. Favorite dishes included the tiradito, ceviche, black cod misoyaki and the wagyu au poivre. The wine pairing was perfect for the menu. We also added on a porgy fish for our table of 4, which was excellent. The music choices were also fairly unexpected and greatly enjoyed by our table.

Outstanding dining experience. The staff went over and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our experience. Allergies were carefully accounted for and the chef stopped by several times to add context behind the creation of some of the dishes. Atmosphere wise, a refreshing a unique vibe topped off by excellent choices in music. Not stuffed up, but authentic. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had an amazing experience at Causa. From start to finish each dish was well thought out, beautiful, and delicious. We have been to a handful of 1 star Michelin restaurants and this is the first one where we felt like the service matched the quality of food. From walking in to leaving the service team was impeccable. Highlights of the tasting menu were scallop and sunchoke dish and bluefish tuna.

Had a great time at Causa from start to finish. All plates were thoughtfully and deliciously crafted. Staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We were full at the end of our meal and left satisfied.

While we waited to be seated, we went upstairs to Amazonia for drinks. The pisco sours were on point.

Every dish was exceptionally well-balanced, with flavors that complemented each other perfectly—thoughtful and refined harmony in every bite. The service was warm, attentive, and polished, making the whole experience feel effortless and special. They even have metal chopsticks 🙂

Service was amazing but the food is mid, especially for the price. At $179 I’d expect a high quality meal where I am amazed at a majority of the dishes. I did not have a single one that wowed me. Most of them was really the opposite. Should be priced at $130-150 and even then I wouldn’t come back.
