I kept skipping this place and thought tonight I would give it a go finally because I had been meaning to go for years but never did. I don’t know what to say other than it was very underwhelming and partially burnt. I know everyone loves this place and maybe it was an off night but I dunno if I will come back. 17 bucks for a small and it’s burnt just leaves a bad taste in my mouth…literally.

Great lunch spot for pizza by the slice and a few garlic knots on the side! I’ve eaten here many of times over the years and have never had an issue, good pizza every time. The inside dining area is small, but there’s usually a couple tables outside or you can always grab it to-go.

THEY GAVE ME AN OLD PIZZA SOMEONE ELSE DIDN’T PICK UP! The box literally had a different name crossed off and my name added instead. Completely cold and dry who knows how long it’d been sitting out. I’m never ordering from here again.

This is the second time I’ve received a pizza with burnt crust, and knots! The knots were burnt on top and undercooked inside. So sad because this use to be soooo good. The old Sy’s was awesome!!

It was 9 PM — had just wrapped up my last work meeting and missed dinner. What I needed was a great slice of pizza. I checked in with a friend who pointed me in the direction of a couple of places… That were already closed. It’s one of the things to get used to about being in Eugene…puzzlingly, despite it being a serious collegetown, an awful lot of things seem to close down by 9 PM….
This one popped up, thankfully, as being open. It was a 15 minute drive away but what’s a girl with a hankering for pizza to do? I hopped in my car and drove. I walked in to see exactly one slice of pizza left on the pan. Tony behind the counter understood the significance and cheered for me saying it must’ve been meant for me. That was a fantastic welcome into a new venue, and then to add a dollop of joy, to an already happy situation, he called me the lucky one — a title I decided to affirm with gratitude — and slipped my slice inside the oven.
Fascinated I looked around: it was like a pizzaria back East: money taped to the walls, photos of customers, and a genuine pizza challenge. The three other customers who were also lucky, got their slices served piping hot, and headed out.
My slice was just about done when a fourth customer came in but he was not so lucky: there no more pie slices; there were Sicilian slices but he was looking for the original slice. I understood and felt for him as he thanked the staff but headed out.
That’s when I noticed the Mexican Coca-Cola and Fanta drinks in the cooler, so decided to stock my fridge with half a dozen bottles, because you never know when you’re going to want an old-school soda. They were $3.50 each, or the price of a cup of coffee. The slice of pizza was six dollars and change.
I thanked the pizza maker, Danny, and Tony who was all charm and service. Looking forward to the next time I need a late night pizza.

I ate here about 2 weeks ago and the pizza was not great, (huge bubbles, too greasy, and very papa johns cardboard -ish.) but I wasn’t going to leave a review until I saw the owner making hateful posts in a local food group about a tamale lady. He made threats to a commenter and kept citing food laws without knowing that she actually has a domestic kitchen license.

Just tried this place after the new owners came in. The food quality is so much better and the service is much better as well. The owner works there himself and put a lot of pride into his business that you can tell right away when you get an order. Highly recommend for Neopolitan and Sicilian style pizza.

Friendly service, delicious slices that are humongous, and cozy inside. My kid loved the thin crust Neapolitan. The garlic knots looked fresh and delicious, but we had no stomach space left to try them.

Best NY style pizza in Eugene! Huge slices you could roll up and the guys were super friendly. The diverse atmosphere was laid back and welcoming. Definitely our go to pizza spot from now on!

Second time here. Today I ordered the day’s special slice- Cacio e Pepe. YES!!!! Good cheese flavor, amenable crunch on the crust and nice and spicy. This was a no sauce slice. So good. First time I ate here with a fry. New owner had recently started working the Sy’s back in Sy’s. Cheese slice was near perfection. The bread is airy, crisp, flavorful. Thin, thin, thin, and crispy. Everything else on the slice followed in order. Cheese. Sauce. Bake. Size. Joyous. Split a slice each of pepperoni and sausage. Yes, please and thank you. Great people at work here. Thank them. Tip them. Give the raises.
