I researched reviews and so glad I did. Early Saturday dinner near the theatre and the staff at the hostess desk was so welcpming. Seating choices were dining room, tavern side, patio or speakeasy. No pressure to sit where it was convenient for the server. Server came out to patio often, never felt forgotten or rushed. Food was delicious, fairly priced for the quality, and lots of variety to choose from. Highly recommend!

We had the most warm welcome to this restaurant. We were rolling through town on our way home after a weekend in hill country. Nadine, (I hope that was her name.) was very pleasant and knew the menu. She repeated the specials for my husband since he wasn’t listening the first time ( ♀️). She was great and the food was wonderful. My husband got the salmon dinner with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I got the chicken panini, which had a spicy aïoli, arugula, and tomato on a warm bun. The bread was side, the chicken tender. I also had a cup of the tomato bisque. It was slightly salty but good overall with a great consistency. The restaurant was small (max occupancy 75) with the restaurant on one side and the bar area on the other. There were a few tables on the sidewalk out front too. They also have cilantro mashed potatoes (that isn’t on the regular menu and is evidently a special item) we ordered them for the salmon, but the waitress came back and said they had run out. Before that, however, she had brought a sample for us to try. They were delicious! So if you see them on the menu or if they have them as a special, definitely order them! We will most assured be back to this restaurant. This was our first time, but it certainly will not be our last. As I said before, the staff were very warm and welcoming, and the food was fantastic!

I hate to leave an average review because I do really like it here! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff are all very kind and welcoming. But I did have an incident with the food I ordered. I have gone to Sam’s Table twice, my first time was lovely but my second time wasn’t so… I have ordered the Rib-Eye steak (cooked: medium), the regular mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. The meal was alright, pretty good for a smaller town. But as soon as I left the restaurant, I felt off. When I returned to my home I felt sick and then I threw up for about 2 hours. My partner ordered the same meal as me and he said he was feeling a bit sick too, but I was the only one who threw up. I’m not prone to a weak stomach and I can definitely “chow down” lol so portion size wasn’t a problem. I would still recommend this place to other people, I won’t take my one bad experience to heart. But I did want to have this as a warning, if something isn’t sitting right with your stomach in the beginning, don’t continue to eat it even if you know the restaurant is trust worthy. I plan on taking a break from going to Sam’s Table but once I return, I just won’t order the same thing again. But overall it’s a great restaurant!!

This is a pretty solid location for a meal, especially in downtown Huntsville. Though we didn’t have a reservation, the manager gave us a seat in the tavern area, which is family friendly and has a cool atmosphere. I received good service while at this restaurant, and the food was tasty as well. I ordered the 3 Chicken Tacos, a menu item under the Costa Rice entree section (I’m not exactly sure how these tacos were particularly Costa Rican, but they tasted great). The chicken was flavorful and well-accompanied by the vegetables. I ordered an unconventional side of mashed potatoes with my tacos, but though an unusual choice, they were relatively light and fluffy. I also got to try this restaurant’s burger, which had a very sweet bun; the patty tasted good paired with everything else, but I mostly tasted the bread. This is a great spot with some interesting menu items (like the Costa Rican paella). Overall, if you’re in Huntsville, this is where you should go.

A was our waitress… she did a great job of thoroughly explaining the menu! I had ceviche and my husband had shrimp tacos. It was five stars all all the way.!!!

I like the little spots, especially if the menu is an eye catcher. For this restaurant, it was the online menu that actually reeled me in. When I got inside and saw the physical menu, I realized there was a lot more to this place than meets the eye.
I ordered the butternut squash soup, a Caesar salad and a Caprice Panini. I was delighted with every bite. The soup was delicious. Served with small grilled baguette slices and sprinkled with parsley. My server, Elizabeth sold me on the Caesar salad and she was absolutely right. That was one of the best Caesar salads that I could remember ever eating. The Panini and its ingredients were fresh, clean and plentiful.. It was a simple lunch, and it was exactly what I was looking for.
This place has a great vibe and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is hungry for delicious food and great service.

After a long day, we decided to eat at Sam’s Table, expecting a decent meal. Instead, we got one of the most disappointing sandwiches I’ve ever seen. We ordered a Reuben, and it arrived with a single slice of pastrami and barely any sauerkraut. For the price they charge, it was honestly embarrassing.
We sent it back because the portion was ridiculous. When it came back out, the cook had just added more sauce and cheese instead of actually fixing the problem. It still wasn’t what we asked for.
For how overpriced this place is, you’d expect basic effort in the food. Unfortunately, that clearly wasn’t the case. Extremely disappointing experience.

We stopped by Sam’s Table and had a great experience. My wife ordered the redfish special and loved it, so tasty and filling she had to take some home. I had the Costa Rican chicken tacos with rice, and every bite was packed with flavor. The kids gave thumbs up to the basil pasta pomodoro and BLT. Portions were generous, service was excellent, and the whole vibe was just right. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I have tried just about everything on the menu, and have NEVER been disappointed with our meal choices.
The best Management team I have ever seen.
The owner Diego is so very friendly, and works right along side the staff.
He is not afraid to get his hands dirty and will serve tables like a owner should.
The manager Joanna is TOP NOTCH!
She is always aware of what’s going on in the dining room. She is on top of her game. We just love her to pieces.
I promise you will not be disappointed with Sams Table.
