Black Hills Bistro did the most amazing job when it came to desserts for our wedding! They were easy to work with and reasonably priced for everything they provided! I could not have asked for a better caterer. There were so many options that we could choose from and every single piece of dessert was AMAZING!!

First of all, some of the posted photos by other reviewers are not for this drive through only coffee shop. And there is a sign stating that you can use either side of the cabin to order, but on the driver’s side only. As for the food and coffee, my breakfast burrito, blueberry muffin and regular coffee were all excellent. And the service I received was also friendly and fast. However, this is mainly a coffee shop with limited food selections, so the reviews that mention things like French toast are not for this quaint little place.

This review is for their specialty coffees. My husband and I met some family here while vacationing in the beautiful Black Hills last week. The service was great and the coffees were good but so sweet. We both got iced coffee. I had to ask for more expresso in mine because it was so overly sweet. She did charge me for it. We didn’t get any food but have heard wonderful things about it. Gorgeous flowers in the shaded outside seating area.

I struggle giving this rating, but in this case it’s deserved. Looking at all the other pictures and reviews, I expected something way better than what amounted to a school lunch made by someone who can’t cook. I waited 10 minutes to get my coffee. Then I waited 35 minutes more to get… this. I ordered the eggs over easy btw. I get the impression that this may be a random bad-food experience at this venue, as so many others shared much better examples and experiences. Mine, however, ended up in the trash after one bite.

This was recommended to us by the manager of the EverSpring Hotel in Hill City—”I drive all the way out there when I want coffee”—and it was a great recommendation.
The flavor options were solid, and the gal helping us a the window was very friendly and patient. The value is phenomenal, especially compared to the larger chain coffee spots.
I generally judge a coffee spot by its mocha, so I ordered a 16 oz Mocha. The flavor was perfect, the drink just the right temperature. It was a wonderful place to start our road back home. Definitely recommend.

We did a quick drive-thru here this morning. They do have breakfast burritos to eat and they were DELICIOUS!! My only issue is that we ordered 4 of them and they heated them up all at once so they didn’t get quite warm enough and we had cold middles. For $7 a burrito, it’d be nice to have them fully heated up! Still tasty though!

This is very much not a dine-in restaurant. Most pictures are not accurate. I’ve reported the mix up as best I can as a visitor. It is simply a small cabin for drive up service. The service was wonderful and the staff was friendly (even gave the dog a treat), but the disappointment wins out. We thought we were going to a cute cafe and it wasn’t. The breakfast burritos were okay, and the coffee was decent. Good little coffee place, but not a restaurant.

Wonderful breakfast! I had a toasted gluten free bagel with guacamole. Peppers, onions, tomatoes perfectly grilled. Country potatoes. A fruit bowl ( the fruits were really fresh and well ripped). Highly recommend this place!
