My husband and I had a wonderful dinner to remember. We are staying at the Inn for two nights and reserved a dinner at Patty O’s for the first night, and the service was aware of this the second we walked in, even offering the full wine list from the Inn to accompany our meal.
Everything we ate and drank was world-class and lovingly prepared. Every wine we tried, including the house wines, were memorable and beautiful. Stand-out dishes include the onion soup, which was better than the ones we’ve eaten in France, and the table side Caesar, which was the best Caesar salad either of us have ever had.
Service was attentive and impeccable throughout. Gratuity is included in the bill, and the server made sure to mention that candidly.
Overall we were expecting a casual bistro meal, but we were blown away by the quality of food and service.

Recommended by a close family member, I stopped by this café with a few good friends while touring Shenandoah and Luray Caverns. We were immediately charmed by the small historic town and the beautifully decorated café building. As a first-time visitor to Washington, VA, I was pleasantly surprised by the town’s character and atmosphere.

The café itself has a cozy, European-style ambiance, complete with a wood-burning fireplace that makes the space feel warm and inviting. We were welcomed promptly and served efficiently. While the menu is similar to other bakery cafés, the quality truly stood out once we tasted our selections. Everything we ordered was well prepared and flavorful.

The staff were professional and friendly, the food was excellent, and the café was very clean and well maintained. I also appreciated the separate section dedicated to grab-and-go coffee and baked goods. I took a few items to go, and the pecan pie and carrot cake were outstanding.

I would gladly revisit whenever I’m in the area. As the only Asian customer during my visit, it was a memorable and unique experience—but overall a very enjoyable one. Highly recommended.

After Autumn Leaves drive in Shenandoah Valley National Park, I had a meal at Patty O’s cafe

The season soup and Wagyu burger were very delicious,
and the atmosphere was good. However,
the number of tables was too much compared to the internal size.

The menu was delicious,
the house wine was great,
and the bakery right next to the interior was also great.

Next time, I want to go to the Michelin restaurant that the server explained. Even the small intersection is pretty.

This was our first trip to Washington, VA. We were visiting friends nearby, and had lunch there. Our reserved table wasn’t available, so we sat in the corner of the bar next to the entrance. Despite the chilly temperature, it wasn’t an issue.

I was surprised by the low prices. Shocked, actually. They were similar to Reston/Herndon where we live. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the wine pairings with lunch. We all opted in.

I had the wagu burger. There was a chicken club and 2 fish and chips, a favorite of mine. My wife got that, so I was able to sample it too. Desserts were Key Lime Pie, and Raspberry Citron Olive Oil Cake. It was all quite good.

The ambiance struck a perfect balance between chic sophistication and meticulous upkeep, creating an inviting and stylish setting. Service was attentive and gracious throughout the evening, adding to the overall warmth of the experience.
We began with the pimento cheese starter, which offered a satisfying blend of flavor and comfort. The true standouts, however, were the trout and ratatouille—both dishes executed with finesse and bursting with vibrant, well-balanced flavors. Altogether, a delightful dining experience.

We were on the way to Shenandoah valley national park and my wife wanted to grab some food before. We stopped to originally go to the “inn at little Washington” but they were not open yet so we went to their sister restaurant. It’s directly across the street diagonally. The service was quick because we opted for the bar. Outside would have been 45 minutes (it was a really nice day out)

We came back here 4 times in our trip to the area! Sunday brunch, dinner, and breakfast at the Bakery next door – each experience was perfect! The pear cocktail and mango tartare were a perfect combo to start, and the medium-rare burger was absolutely perfect. Don’t leave without trying the carrot cake or key lime pie – probably one of the best slices of each we’ve ever had! Lovely service and great atmosphere – we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

We saw a small sign for Patty O’s and decided to stop for a glass of wine/cocktail. Little did we know Patty O’s was located in the picturesque small town of Little Washington. Basically one intersection, but what an intersection!

Patty O’s was fantastic, but I wish we had more time to have a meal at The Inn in Little Washington. Stunning!

First and foremost, our service was STELLAR and we will be back just to have Maggie take care of us again. She is such a delightful personality and it made our experience so much better.
We have been dying to visit the main restaurant and the cafe here and drove 3.5 hours from Maryland to do so. Despite a heavy rain storm and a tree blocking the road, we made it an hour later than our reserved time and the staff were so accommodating anyway. We started with a couple of exceptional drinks and I will point out that the Tipsy London drink is so superb, it definitely ranks as one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. The earl grey simple syrup with the smooth vodka is an exceptional pairing in that cocktail.
For appetizers, we tried the deviled eggs (wow), the escargots, and the soup which was a chilled orange tomato soup. That soup was surprisingly so refreshing and flavorful.
For entrees we got the mushroom Bolognese and the trout and I will absolutely stand by this – I typically order the fish dish at most restaurants and this was the best trout I have ever had. It was so soft and buttery with a delightful dance of flavors with the tomato tartare, leeks, and mustard. We also tried the white asparagus special which was so incredibly delicious, topped with capers and a cheese of some kind with a tangy but balanced sauce. We tried a few of the desserts and my favorite by far was the butter pecan ice cream. We visited for our wedding anniversary and the entire experience was pure magic. We will absolutely most certainly be back, thanks for a great memory!
