Before visiting Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House for a 1:30 tour, we grabbed what we hoped to be a quick lunch at this quaint restaurant. We needed more time than we planned! I ordered the daily special of a gyro sandwich with fries. The only thing served hot was the pita. Meat and fries were room temperature. My wife fared better by ordereing wings with bourbon sauce on half and garlic-parmesan seasoning on the rest. They were excellent.

Neighborhood place (on-street parking or walking) with a cozy atmosphere.
Fish fry was average, but on the higher price range ($19.99, although their website listed $16.99 when checked). I prefer a sweeter, finer, less crunchy cole slaw. Cole slaw is served in a small plastic cup, and tartar sauce in a tiny plastic cup. Side salad was small and very basic. No rolls or bread. Nice batter on the fish, though. Coffee: so so.
If I go again, I’ll look for other options than the fish fry. But lots of people were there so they seem to be doing fine.

Cozy pub serving exactly the comfort food you’re craving. Great spot for lunch or dinner on a cold Buffalo day. The memorabilia on the walls adds to the experience. Truly a great local joint.

Stopped at dinnertime Saturday. Greeted and seated promptly. Service was quick and attentive. Fish was good, lazy pierogi special was overcooked and dry. We have been here a few times, and sandwiches and wings were always excellent. We will probably stick with those items next time.

Place was awesome, great spot. Food was delicious and fun dinning room. The key lime pie was amazing. Nice and close to the zoo so we were able to go for a walk afterwards. Highly reccomend

We went here for a Ten Lives Club event; it was great to see such a small venue accommodate a fundraiser!! The food, however, was not impressive. I ordered homemade Mac & cheese & I liked that it was made with farfalle pasta but flipping the pasta over it appeared like they simply poured the cheese sauce over the pasta instead of cooking it together. The place was PACKED – nearly every table was filled. Altogether not a bad experience but would have appreciated food prepared with more care.

Waitress was great. Ordered broiled fish with spinach. It was FANTASTIC! Had green beans instead of fries and they were the best. This was my first time here and I was very pleased with everything.

My first time. Excellent service, owner operated, which is always a plus. Enjoyed the wings, and some fine bourbon. And when a friend requested a dark and stormy, The bartender rushed off and fetched. The ginger beer. Outstanding.

6 of us stopped in after Music in Bloom last night. The hostess was lovely. Sat us & brought water. After 10 minutes the waitress came & took our order. Another 10 minutes passed before drinks came . Never brought a Coke. After waiting 45 minutes we went to the bar where the waitress liked hanging out & asked about the food. She & the hostess then brought it out. The waitress excuse was ” we ran out of wings” Everything was lukewarm as if it had been sitting around awhile. Waitress never asked how the food was or if any beverages were needed. She dropped the bill off which was wrong so up to the bar to get her again to have it corrected. Not a good experience
