One of the best spots in OC for authentic Korean food! The tofu soup is amazing, but the cold noodles and short ribs are just as impressive. I came here with family visiting from Korea, and everyone was so happy with the flavors and service. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome every time.
Definitely a go-to place when you want to treat guests or enjoy a hearty Korean meal. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I visited California Tofu Grill and ordered the combination lunch—chicken teriyaki and oyster tofu soup. Both dishes were freshly made and absolutely delicious! The servers were friendly and welcoming, even though it was pretty busy during Saturday lunchtime.
Plus, the free parking is a huge bonus. Highly recommend this spot!

You know this is the real deal when you walk in and all the people eating are Korean families! The food was delicious and they give a good assortment of banchan. The banchan was also delicious and they give you refills when you ask. Service was awesome…polite and friendly. Overall, it’s a great place to go and worth the 30 minute drive!

At first, after I placed my order and they set my table with all sorts of small plates, I was overwhelmed. Even more so when they brought out the main dishes. However, I waived over the one who sat me and he happily explained everything to me and how they eat all the dishes in Korea. So helpful and it was a treat to have such a new to me dining experience.
I ordered the BBQ beef ribs and kimchi soon tofu combination meal. I am unfamiliar with tofu so I cannot say how it compares. However it was delicious. Each bite was an explosion of new flavors and all of them pleasing. The BBQ beef ribs were seasoned perfectly and complimented everything. Aside from the overwhelming start – and that’s more just a cultural thing – the whole meal was excellent and enjoyable.
I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Went on a weekday afternoon for dinner (gets busy during weekends). Just like BCD, but I think it’s better in terms of location (no heavy traffic) and especially food. Great deals for lunch time (opening hours until 3pm). The combo meals are very filling. Employees are welcoming and attentive to your needs. Definitely recommend this place.

Had a great meal only to be harassed after paying about no tip on check. I left money on the table , which is normally better since all tips are taxed. Waiters and waitresses need to understand that “tips” are not mandatory and if they are living off tips they might need a different or another job. Ruined the rest of my day.

The soup was good, but the server told us not to take side dishes when we asked for a box for our seafood pancake, then condescendingly and loudly explained how containers work to my parents. Not appreciated at all and we actually were talking about how the side dishes tasted strange before this interaction with her. I understand if it’s a recurring problem for your business, but no need to be preemptively rude to us about it

Since it’s always busy, it’s hard to receive proper service, and there’s constant miscommunication.
When we asked for banchan refills or water, they often brought the wrong ones or only provided them after we asked multiple times. The waiters were hostile and unfriendly, and at one point, one of them even complained to the owner that we were “asking for too much” after we had only requested a couple of banchans and an extra clean spoon.
My family and I have been here many times before, but this is the first time we’ve been treated with such disrespect. When we asked for boxes for our leftovers, a waiter repeatedly told us not to take the banchan home–at least three times–even though these were untouched dishes we hadn’t eaten from earlier because we didn’t like them. It was insulting and humiliating to be judged and misunderstood because of their own miscommunication.
Because of this poor experience with the rude and moody staff, we will no longer be returning, and we’re advising our relatives and friends to avoid this place as well. The waiters may not care, but ultimately their behavior reflects poorly on the business and hurts the owner.

I was really surprised when I picked up the seasoned ribs today. I paid $30 for it… I know prices have gone up lately, but this seems excessive. Please don’t order ribs from here again. I’d rather choose a different menu. Maybe the change in ownership has affected the taste too. This is just my personal opinion. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this restaurant anymore.
