Best and most consistently tasty Mexican food in all of Escondido. Unlike some other joints where some items are great and others are total misses, almost everything on their menu is a hit. I say “almost” because I’ve literally tried perhaps 75% of the menu which is saying a lot haha

Not sure if the other one on East Valley Parkway is as good but I def recommend this spot/location

Jilberto’s on West Valley Pkwy is so good. I came yesterday and had the Super Carne Asada Nachos and they are so delicious. I came yesterday and had Carne Asada Fries! Both days with a Large Horchata! You have to come check them out.

Accessibility: there is no accessible parking in this lot. The only nearby accessible parking is technically part of the parking lot shared with the drive-thru Starbucks. Other than this, there should be more accessible parking made and more ramps up to the sidewalk. This parking lot is very busy on the weekends so parking might be a challenge if you need extra space. The door to enter the building is a pull door but was left propped open on a Saturday night. They do also have a bathroom inside.

Experience: wow! This place is amazing. I came in, it was very well lit inside and looked clean with plenty of tables for seating inside and outside. I ordered Carne Asada Fries for $10.99 and they are AMAZING. They were hot, freshly made, and taste delicious! 5 stars, definitely recommend.

Masks: the employees were wearing masks and so were all the guests who came in.

I don’t know but putting bacon on Huevos Rancheros is awful. Also the eggs on my huevos rancheros were hard. The beans were not refried with oil or fat so didn’t taste very good. I will NEVER order from this place again.

The food was ok/good, we had a carne asada burrito the meat was diced small the way I like it, it was average size almost a $10 burrito then carne asada fries was pretty big $10 and torta n fries was about $9 and a burrito of lengua was about $10 and a big wet burrito that was good. This entire dinner was about $60 total.

Hey, hey the pollo asado burrito with potaoes. Oh boy – fat and delicious. But BEST OF ALL is the green salsa – my, my. They gotta extra large container for sodas but i get that green salsa in that container. Oh boy. I keep a container in my fridge at all times. I go in there, ask for salsa only she automatically gets me the big container. My daughter lives in NC. i have to freeze at least 5 burritos to take to her on the plane. Its embarrassing, I tellya. If i don’t my stay there is a nightmare. Its a good spot.
