The Lexington House is one of those rare spots where big surprises come in small, cozy packages. The vibe is effortlessly cool — a modern bar with that classic Los Gatos charm — and the menu delivers across the board.

We came during their Halloween-themed cocktail menu, and it was such a creative twist! Each drink was inspired by iconic horror villains, and the cocktails were as clever as they were delicious — beautifully balanced and high quality.

The food menu focuses on shareable small plates, which is perfect if you like to sample and mix flavors. We ordered the nectarine crostini (light, airy, and refreshing), a cauliflower dish that changes seasonally, and both the duck ragu and clam pasta. Every dish was packed with flavor and presentation-ready.

It’s the kind of place that feels both elevated and approachable — ideal for date night, cocktails with friends, or just a spontaneous evening out. Definitely worth adding to your Los Gatos dining list.

Probably one of the best dining experiences in Los Gatos. They offers a creative, modern menu with a strong focus on seasonal ingredients. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful! The cocktails are also impressive. It was my first time dining here, and I was genuinely impressed. I’m already looking forward to going back. Highly recommend!

I finally found a truly authentic Italian restaurant!
I wasn’t expecting much from the pasta just by looking at the pictures, but tasting it was a whole different story. The noodles were incredibly chewy and perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich and flavorful—especially the pistachio sauce, which paired beautifully.

The steak is made with prime-grade beef, and you can really taste the quality. The appetizers were decent, but the pasta was the real standout—absolutely phenomenal.

The owner is a true Italian who runs a restaurant in Florence, so this place is the real deal. If you’re in San Jose and looking for authentic Italian pasta, this is it.

Tell your friends, and definitely try the pasta.
Corkage fee for wine is $30.

American dining with some variates. Would not recommend the duck options. Burger and the half chicken is the favorite. Have good drinks too. Not the best choice though.

What an amazing restaurant! The food is absolutely fantastic! Every dish we had was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. It seems like they change their menu often — I don’t remember the exact names of what we ordered, and I totally forgot to snap a photo of the menu… haha! The staff was super friendly, and everything was served quickly and right on time.

I’m definitely coming back! Highly recommend!

Not a fun experience tonight. We came for dinner only to learn 4 meals on the menu where not available. No short rib, no fish, and one other main meal. The top 3 choices for a person in our party. Then there was only 1 dessert available from the 3 we ordered. To top it off, the wait staff came to our table when all the appetizers were out and said they put a hold on our main dishes so we can enjoy our appetizers. 1 minute later all our main dishes came out. You can only laugh.

Visited on Valentine’s Day 2026. Set menu. Sat outside. Plenty of heaters so temperature was comfortable. We waited nearly 15 minutes before our waitress took our drink order. Another 10 minutes for our food/dessert order.

Food was slightly above average. We enjoyed the ceviche the most. My wife and I ordered the same main course (beef short rib), but her entree was nearly double the size of mine. I don’t expect exact portions, but the inconsistent portion size made my wife uncomfortable and she kept asking to switch plates. Ruined the entire atmosphere and our date.

This is now our second visit and our waiter was extremely rude for our first visit after I pointed out my entree (requested medium rare) was severely overcooked (medium well to well done). I didn’t write a negative review then because things happen so gave the restaurant a pass.

After a second subpar experience, I do not recommend and likely will not visit this restaurant again.

Me and my Gf. Went there for a valantines dinner on Sunday and we really had a very poor service and the food wasn’t good at all. Our steak was over cooked, the restaurant had 2 tables and the server didn’t check on us or anything else. Honestly not what it was before. And not worth the money. They have prices as fine dining when the quality of food and service reflects sizzler quality.

I booked a Thanksgiving dinner reservation at Lexington House through OpenTable for 5:30 PM. Shortly after booking, our local paper published a Thanksgiving dining guide that included Lexington House’s hours and special menu. That article stated the restaurant would not open until 6:00 PM and would not be serving a traditional turkey dinner, instead offering a four-course prix fixe with duck or steak.

Because our reservation time was before the restaurant opened and the menu did not meet our Thanksgiving plans, we decided to dine elsewhere.

I attempted to cancel through OpenTable, but was advised to call the restaurant directly. I called four times:

Twice left voicemail messages

Spoke directly with “Moose” and later with “Victoria”

Both were very pleasant and confirmed my reservation would be canceled.

Despite this, I was later charged $300.00 ($50 per person) for a no-show fee.

After seeing the charge, I contacted the restaurant again and spoke with Victoria, who took my OpenTable confirmation number and details. She told me the owner was in Italy and that he would be informed. I never received a follow-up.

I then went in person to the restaurant and spoke with Victoria again. She advised the owner had returned and would be reminded. I even offered to accept a gift certificate instead of a refund if processing the cancellation was difficult. Again—no response.

At this point, I have made every reasonable effort to resolve this directly and in good faith. The reservation was canceled properly, well in advance, and due to published information showing the restaurant was not open at our reserved time.

Charging a no-show fee under these circumstances—especially after multiple confirmations of cancellation—is unfair and disappointing. I hope Lexington House reconsiders how this was handled and provides appropriate customer service moving forward.

One of the more memorable restaurants we’ve been to lately. Josh seemed genuinely happy to take care of us. Our outdoor table was comfortably heated on a cold rainy evening.

Started with a couple of cocktails and an appetizer. Anchovies with buttered crostini was something new and loved it. Barraco’s pappardelle with mushroom ragu was very good. Olive breadcrumbs added a nice texture to the dish. Now the salmon, which I’m very particular about, was the best salmon I’d ever had (even better than mine). The skin was crispy and seasoned perfectly. The meat was medium-rare and just melted in my mouth. The sauce brought all the flavors together. We were also happy with the Pavlova, of which I’m also particular. The pastry chef came to our table to discuss the details of his creation.

Can’t wait to go back for more.
