I am an OG Flathead. Worked for TF in Pompano Beach during high school (2004-2006) and always make it a point to stop at a TF when I can since moving to GA. Visited FL for a funeral back in August and went looking for the one I worked at and realized it had closed down!! How!?!? Doesn’t makes sense, it was right next to a surf shop and a gym, it was always busy! Recently we found this loction a couple weeks ago visiting again for a wedding… Walking in, it didn’t feel like tijuana flats. It missed the nostalgia pictured employees and celebs, painted ceiling tiles, 80s hits blasting, and a hot sauce bar that didn’t only include mild sauce for wimps but the heat that will clear your allergies. I was saddened to see so many fun features that made tflats so perfect fun and unique had been changed. Fun menu options… enchiladas!!! Flautas!!Powerlite… BJOLTS! where’s the SAAAAAAAUCE (red sauce, that one was painful) why remove something that paired with the queso so well. I wish I still had some of my old work shirts, the apparel used to be so fun! I met the manager, Nick Nuzzo, who was a delight. Impressed he stayed with the company through all the changes, hope they know the value of employee they have with him. It was good to see they are still sticking to customer service standards and holding true to that aspect. The employees there are awesome. The food was good, but not as special as it once was. I won’t be as eager to go out of my way next time unless changes are made taking it back to its original glory ✌️❤️

First time coming into this store front. Visually it’s got that overall Tijuana Flats feel. The service was okay, our server was very soft spoken but wasn’t bad. We waited a bit for our food, but to be fair someone before us had a big order. Once we got our food though, portion size we were highly disappointed. We’ve been going to Tijuana for over 10 years and never had such a small portion of food, not to mention it was in a to-go box even though we said we would be dining in. So that was very disappointing. Like you use to be able to get nachos and share generously with 2-3 people and this portion barely could feed 1 person. Little chips, little toppings so that was a let down. The food taste though was fantastic as usual. Would I order here again? Maybe. I just don’t think it’s worth the price anymore. But to each their own!

We ordered two taco meals and Queso. We received our tacos, asked for the queso, she said “you didn’t receive it!”. We said no. She said she will bring it. We didn’t receive. When we saw her bringing food to another table. We asked for Queso again, she said “you didn’t receive it!”. We said no. She didn’t bring it again. I went to kitchen, asked for the Queso, and she said “you didn’t receive it!”. I said no, and she handed me a cold queso in a container sitting on kitchen counter. Why is it so hard to do your job? Customer gives an order, you bring it to table.

This Tijuana location is pretty solid, and I’ve been to several in Florida. Food came out quickly and it was very hot when it came out, which believe it or not is not always necessarily the case at other Tijuana locations for whatever reason.

I placed an order in the car in front of Tijuana came and there was one person at the register. I was the second person in line. I told her I have a mobile order for dine in she said OK and went to the back. I still waited at a table for at least 15 to 20 minutes for my order to get wrapped up in the bag. As a pickup order, the sweet tea was not sweet at all. I added two Splenda’s still not sweet. I didn’t even take it to go with me. I left it on a table that someone else already had an order waiting to get picked up thrown away.

We regularly travel on W. Colonial Drive in Ocoee. We always seem to get the red light at Maguire Rd where the backs of a number on businesses face the road.
One of these businesses is Tijuana Flats which has an eye-catching facade, advertising “Tex Mex For All.” I’d picked up a menu the day before and decided to give them a try for takeout.
The staff is very friendly and the manager is present and working to ensure a positive experience for his customers. There were several tables occupied with dine in patrons, including two casually dressed businessmen working on their laptops while having lunch.
My order was taken quickly and efficiently: a chicken Chimichanga and a chicken Quesadilla. I waited about 10 minutes and my order was brought yo me by a smiling and pleasant young lady.
TF has a fun vibe. I thought the music was a little loud, though. We enjoyed our food although the tortilla chips were soggy even though packed in a separate paper bag. We had enough for another smaller serving the next day. I thought the price point was a little high.
If you like sauces, this is your place. The restaurant has a separate area with a variety of well-marked and described sauces. The tables are cool, too, with clever sayings on them. Elementary school artwork is also on display.
Parking is plentiful with dedicated spots for pre-ordered pickups. The manager brought one order out to a waiting customer.
I’m glad I stopped in and I will return. Just please turn down the music volume!
