I ordered a cheese, add ricotta, green peppers, and mushrooms online. I expected more char and less chew. It was just okay.
While waiting for my pizza to be made I headed to the bar to get a drink. The bartender did her job but didn’t go aboce and beyond or impress me. Bartenders sold know how to chat and make everyone feel welcome.
Mentioning I placed an order to go no attempt was made to check on it or grab it for me. A small gesture I would have done.
I have years of hospitality experience so I know what I am talking about.
Won’t be back.
P.S. Discovered there’s red onions, not yellow when I asked for them. Not happy at all with this experience. I gave them a two star at first… now it’s a one star. How can you treat customers like this?
In answer to your reply… No, the sausage was spicy too. As for the chili flakes… they overpowered the pizza in every bite. Anyone who cooks will say that that’s too much in any dish. No red onions means NO RED ONIONS. Pizza is not meant to be eaten with a knife and fork. Watch ‘Houseboat’ to see Sophia Loren school Cary Grant on how to eat pizza. You fold it, and eat it using your hands. For ingredients to fall off while picking up a slice, that’s way too much flop. Again with the pepper flakes… I didn’t see them on the menu that’s shared on this site (Google), but now see them on your website. To help others it would be good to reflect that on here. Or add a caveat for people to view your menu on your website. Just saying…
First timer at CHAR, completely unfamiliar with the system.
Homie throwing dough was super helpful right from the start, explained no single slice options and that the pies are all personal sized, went down the menu with me and was super helpful!
Next gal was I think new, another lady was giving her tips and tricks for the pizzas (AMAZING TIPS BTW). It gave me an opportunity to look at all the options for toppings. Oh my goodness y’all got a lot!
Super fun watching the lady’s rip up fresh mozzarella and basil for my ricotta pizza! And the extra garlic was perfect!!!
Got a bit lost on the way to the register and the 3 gentleman working that area was awesome and helpful too.
Homie on register was helpful and explained how the ranch cups worked and priced out stuff I had questions on.
Pizza came out super quick (under 10min).
Super crispy on the edges, gooey cheese, covered in red pepper flakes n Parm!
Ran into a minor hiccup with my pizza towards then end and let the team know, wasn’t upset food service is food service. Said thanks for the delicious pizza and the team member I was talking to gave me this rainbow cake bar thingy that was really good.
Anyways thanks for letting me ramble.
Highlights: Lots of options, reasonable price, friendly & helpful staff, fresh and fast pies.
