Reviews
As someone who eats vegan, I reviewed the menu ahead of time and saw several vegetarian options. However, once seated, I was informed that almost none of those dishes could be modified to be vegan. According to the staff, substitutions were not allowed. For a restaurant offering multiple vegetarian plates, it felt surprising and restrictive not to accommodate simple changes.
There was only one true vegan option available for brunch.
Service overall felt distant and not very solution-oriented. I mentioned I was visiting from out of town and celebrating my birthday, but there wasn’t much engagement or effort to elevate the experience. The wait time for food was also longer than expected.
When the dish arrived, the presentation was beautiful, but the flavors were underwhelming. It lacked depth and seasoning; not salt, just dimension. After fasting and looking forward to a meaningful birthday meal, it felt like a missed opportunity.
This may be a great spot for traditional brunch diners, but it is not particularly vegan-friendly, especially if substitutions are off the table.
I truly wanted to love this place given the recommendation, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations.
Anyway, we got moved and attended by Evan. Evan has got to be one of the best servers I’ve had in such a long time. The food was great and Evan’s recommendations were fantastic. I had just got the old bay wings. I’d go back in a heart beat for those.
I do wish they offered fries and possibly changed up the menu. I’ve been here multiple times and after a while you kind of want to see new items.
I’d say the prices are reasonable. On top of the wings, I ended up getting a martini and two (generous) pours of the Cabernet. Drinks were great all around.
As the first face of the establishment, Lina truly set the tone. She made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and well taken care of. The food was amazing as well, but I especially wanted to highlight Lina because her hospitality made the visit memorable.
In the midst of the chaos, Evan was still able to remain calm and kind. I appreciated him for that and I’d come back bc of him. Food was pretty good — we had wings, potato fingerlings and Korean tacos. All were pretty good, but overall, I’d try this place again and request Evan as our waiter.
We opted for the outdoor seating It was a little cool but they do have patio heaters, so it was perfect.
We all opted for the Social Dining Experience and added the bottomless drinks option for an additional $10, my drink of choice was the margarita from the available options. For my first course I went with the Korean Bbq Shrimp Tacos 10/10. Second course I decided on the Super Lump Crab cake Omelet 8/10. For my dessert I choose the Pistachio Mousse + Chocolate Brownie 10/10. Service was amazing and I never had to call anyone for my bottomless margarita refills.
P.S. there is paid garage parking on the back of the Gatsby Restaurant.
