Zpan Hibachi is our absolute favorite Japanese restaurant, and we’ve been coming here for years! The staff is amazing, and the food is truly phenomenal. Every aspect of this place is fantastic – from the quiet and nice atmosphere to the respectful service. They even gave us a Christmas card last year, which was a lovely touch.
The food is absolutely delicious, and their sushi and rolls are the best l’ve ever had. I highly recommend the Godzilla roll – it’s my absolute favorite! If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, look no further than Zpan Hibachi. Five stars isn’t enough –

Sushi was great! Got the lunch chicken katsu as well, very crispy!
Only complaint would be the white rice, not the biggest fan of the grain they use. Luckily we ordered a side of fried rice as well!
Will definitely get more food from here!

Second time we tried this restaurant and it will be the last. The place seems understaffed and servers are very inattentive and come across as totally bothered when having to attend to patrons. Sushi chef wears air pods and rarely looks up, so in order to get his attention, you have to frantically wave your arms. Interesting fact…the last time we had dinner there it was obvious that “friends” arrived…. Quenny sat with them in a back booth for a long period of time… smiling, laughing and ignoring paying customers. Sushi was moderate at best. Service is the reason why we won’t ever return. Those who ask for a Sushi recommendation we will share our experience(s) so that others can be forewarned in advance.

Absolutely loved my experience at Zpan Hibachi & Sushi Bar in Apollo Beach! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a meal. The food is nothing short of amazing—each dish is crafted with care and bursting with flavor.
I particularly enjoyed the steak teriyaki lunch platter; it was cooked to perfection with tender, juicy steak and a deliciously rich teriyaki sauce that brought everything together. The portion sizes were generous, and it was clear that quality ingredients were used.

Sighs. Literally, just picked this up while on my break and it doesn’t taste fresh..at all. I’m annoyed because I spent almost $70. This place is hit or miss. I ordered shrimp and lobster tempura rolls. The rolls are falling apart, the batter is hard and overcooked. I’m disappointed because I’m not going to eat the rest of mine (my nephew may scarf it down, though). If this place was more consistent, it’d be a lot better but I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

Wanted to spend my birthday here, such a great choice! Started with a spicy tropical roll, excellent fresh full of flavor. Ordered the chicken hibachi, came with house soup and salad, entree came with noodles, fried rice and vegetables. The flavor was outstanding and again so fresh. Our party also ordered the scallop hibachi which they said the scallops tasted sweet and fresh, and the shrimp stir fry. Portions are huge, service is excellent and prices are spot on. You won’t go away hungry or disappointed.

I ordered the tempura shrimp and as you can see…it was breaded and fried! They did a thick, heavy tempura on the vegetables, though. Sooo, why not actually put the tempura ON the shrimp? It was very disappointing. The others in our party enjoyed the Godzilla roll, the chicken katsu with noodles instead of rice, and the teriyaki steak.

The hostes and server had ZERO personality. They seemed like we were more of an annoyance than a customer. Prices are far too high. Sakura offers better food and a show, and they seem happy to see customers.
Update: we have been coming here consistently for a year, and they have drastically improved. Food is good, and they shut down the restroom with the terrible smells.

New ownership and new management have made this establishment a go-to spot. Queeny and Ada have been a pleasure. They are kind and attentantive. A couple of my favorite servers/managers, the food is ALWAYS consistent. They have repaired the restrooms and replaced the AC. They are doing their part to make for a comfortable and pleasurable dining experience. Keep up the good work, ladies.

I took my friends out for dinner for their anniversary. We checked out Zpan because it was close to where they live. We had such a good time! The whole experience was wonderful. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our waitress had a great personality and made us feel welcome and relaxed. She accommodated my girlfriend’s special menu requests without batting an eye. The food was out-of-this-world. I will definitely return again for future celebrations.

I hate to give bad reviews but the food is very overpriced for the portions you get. I ordered hibachi combo with the salmon and shrimp. I didn’t know it comes with noodles and rice. The rice was bland. The noodles were gummy and mushy and had sauce underneath as if it was in a container and flipped out onto my plate. The shrimp were rubbery, tasted old, as if it were previously cooked, and over seasoned. The salmon was very well done and dry. The soup and salad were good, may I add that the salad consisted only of lettuce. The vegetables were the only dish that was cooked perfectly.
