We had IDs to prove age which the waitress saw. IDs were provided and alcohol was served. It has nothing to do with those simple things. However, the response from the owner really proves what the customer service is like.
We also cancelled everything. You all did not refuse to do anything, we told you never mind and cancelled.
We really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
We came as a group and ended up waiting nearly two hours for our food. One of the orders was completely missed, and by the time we followed up, it still hadn’t been prepared—so we had to cancel it altogether. Despite being almost the only people there, the service was noticeably slow and inattentive.
When the food finally arrived, it was cold, which only added to the frustration. The customer service throughout the experience was underwhelming at best.
We genuinely tried to support them and hoped for a better experience, but sadly, this will be our first and last visit.
1. The place was TOTALLY empty and we were actually asked if we had a reservation. While this shouldn’t be a concern, how and when we were asked was the issue. We were asked after being seated and having waited 15 minutes for a sticky menu. The tone was almost like what are we doing there. I don’t care that it was empty on a Friday night but really that made no sense to ask about a reservation. It wasn’t like there was a long line.
2. I ordered a mojito. The mojito had one very old mint leaf in it. That mint leaf didn’t have mold but you can tell it was old. The mojito tasted loke medicine for some reason. Again, my family kept me quiet.
3. We waited another 15 minutes for someone to take our order then 45 minutes to get our food! No clue what that wait time was for, 3 other people came in AFTER our food order was placed.
4. We finally get the food, nothing is hot. The food wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either. Chicken was good but the mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of an old box.
5. Everyone else around us has a short wait time for their food. Maybe the kitchen wasn’t ready until after we ordered?
6. We decide to order dessert but take it home because we couldn’t trust the wait time. The waiter tells us that all the desserts are frozen! My family still proceeds to order anyway. We ordered 4 desserts. 1 out of the 4 was ok.
We gave the waiter a good tip not for service (I think he needed more support and training) but as a parting gift because we won’t be coming back. The place actually looks nice and again I REALLY tried. I didn’t even want to write this review but I hope management can use this to do better.
