My favorite spot to eat at, this was the second time I recieve unpleasant presentation of my food. My cheese burger rolls was over cooked onion rings literally came like this and my husband reuben burger was so dry over powered with mayo and the cheese was wasn’t melted. Food was cold and we spent $67.82 including my kids meals. So disappointed I come in with a family of 6 all the time we visit south side Main Event and this time my experience was unforgettable because we love eating here to find a good burger / lemonade or fireweed Tea. I don’t know if they chef change but my experience was unexceptable.

Having been introduced to Main Event Grill via the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, I thought, I am well overdue for me to try one of their burgers! So yesterday I ordered to go, a Kenai Burger! I was well impressed. Spice and flavor were just right! I felt as if I was devouring a gourmet burger no doubt! They made my lunch a MAIN EVENT! Everything was quality! From the burger to the bread and the garlic fries were a delightful side. Presentation in the lunch bag was neat and great too! How did they know I needed that much ketchup and napkins?! Thank you!!

I give my experience an ABSOLUTE A+ in every area! This was my first experience and I can confidently say BEST Burger in All of Alaska. Chef Kiss Amazing! Super friendly atmosphere and great music. I can’t wait to come back. Their menu is fantastic as well. So many delicious choices that beg to all be tried. Definitely coming back with friends and family to enjoy this amazing must experience place.

The food was absolutely wonderful. Don’t plan on an in an out unless you call your order ahead, it is definitely not a fast food joint. The service was not bad it just wasn’t friendly it was just service. I will definitely go again and would highly recommend their food.

So I’m leaving this review after already having a prior experience that was not to pleasant (got a burger that was WAY undercooked a week ago, and yes, I did get sick from it), and after informing the owner with photo evidence, was given a credit, and decided to give it one more try, the benefit of a doubt as they say. So for this go around I ordered a Reuben sandwich, that had no thousand island sauce or sauerkraut on it, BONE DRY, will attach a photo for evidence, the bread was also atrociously dry, and for bonus points, the woman/ cashier that gave my order to my wife was very stand-off ish with her, so to surmise, will no longer be giving my money to this establishment,

Very flavorful and great portions. The folks that work here make the experience even better. Last week we got the Huli Chicken and Cowboy Candy pork belly. They were delicious and moist. This weekend we got the Ribs, Bacon Jam Burger, Turkey Bacon Guacamole, and Ribs and Chicken meal. All well made and tasted excellent. The fried pickles may be the best fried pickles I have had to date. They look like homemade pickles and have a lot of crunch to them.
Thanks for being open guys! We will be back.
Update – The food and service are still amazing! The Girdwood grilled cheese is a masterpiece. I only got to eat half of it, the table gremlin I brought with me quickly devoured the other half. The sandwich starts with delicious and well-made bread, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, provolone cheese, house made bacon jam, and brie. This was my first grilled cheese with Brie, and this will not be my last.
Thank you for making this magical lil’ sammich! (It’s not little).

Enjoyed the Hot Mess Burger with Garlic Fries!
I really enjoyed the flavors and heat of the burger, most should enjoy it without too much fuss. I personally like more heat but flavor and temperature was spot on!!
Garlic fries were crinkle cut style
Must have served me some from the warming tray. Unfortunately only warm and garlic flavor wasn’t as pronounced as I have heard. Normally I eat all fries first but not this time. But I hold hope that next will be much better. Offered for a fresh one but I declined. Though the teen said that I must have let them sit too long. He was young so no big issue. I simply informed I generally eat all fries before the burger because fresh fries are wonderful.
Also had the Blue Raspberry Lemonade, very tasty and refreshing!! Like how container was sealed, just poked with straw to open
Friend had the Thai Peanut Chicken Salad.
Once she got a good fresh one was beautiful and very tasty, warm chicken on side to mix with the Thai Peanut Sauce. Nice large portion. For two to share or save as leftovers.
Side note first salad looked fresh but saw a small patch of fuzz on some red peppers on the corner inside of container.
This was quickly rectified with a new salad. Service was attentive.

I’ve been here multiple times and will say the food is good, just a little disappointed in the protein for the salads. Gave me a big cup styrofoam cup just for it to be filled with mostly buffalo sauce than actual chicken….

Amazing variety of burgers on the menu. Was there at lunchtime on a weekday, and although busy the service was quick and the food delicious. Portion size was generous. The facility was clean and there was no annoying tv or loud music to disrupt conversations. I would highly recommend.

Amazing!! This was my first time and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Girdwood Griller sub salad with ranch and my bf ordered the Garlic Burger with Garlic fries. The Girdwood Griller is so savory and the bread had the perfect amount of crisp. The sub salad with the ranch (tasted in-house not store bought) was the perfect pair! That was one of the best ranches I’ve had! The Garlic Burger was SMOTHERED in garlic which I am a total fan of! You’ll definitely have some hot breath but every bite was worth it 🙂 .
