Sushi Ichiban is easily my favorite sushi spot on campus, great rolls for a very reasonable price, and the server William working the register is always very nice. I highly recommend getting the fancy rolls and miso soup, as the combo is both delicious and affordable compared to other places!

We went to Sushi Ichiban this week for the first time and ordered food to go. From the beginning, the owner seemed upset with us for some reason. After we got our food and started to leave, the owner suddenly yelled, “I don’t like you—never come back!”

I went here for my birthday dinner yesterday. The food was delicious and amazing. I got some sushi! Upon paying, me and my friends paid for drinks. We didn’t know we had paid for a canned drink over a bottled drink and the owner/manager was yelling at us and being aggressive that we grabbed a bottled drink (that was 20 cents more expensive) and we had offered to pay the difference and he just continued causing a scene. I’d go back for the food, 100% but the manager needs therapy.

Owner now replies again and tries to justify his employee making a simple mistake and not clarifying prices of drinks. AGAIN, I offered to pay the small difference of POCKETCHANGE for my drink and owner still made a scene yelling at me in his restaurant.

The sushi here is really good on the price point and is very good and a deal on rolls is everything in my opinion the man behind the counter was very kind and helpful. Just a fantastic spot to eat at very quiet and easy going.

Delicious food and with good price. I got a Chicken Stir Fried Udon, was the best I’ve in Urbana Champaign so far. Don’t ask for double noodles, it is too much… The regular portion is more than enough.
