I’ve heard great things about this place, and I’m glad I finally got a chance to try it. I’ve never been to any other sushi places in the city, but this one was definitely worth it. We ordered a tuna and a fried roll, and it was absolutely delicious! I just wanted to mention the order in the place, you can find things like napkins, glasses, chairs, towels, etc. in all the place. Even chairs side to side you can feel that the place been some abandon

i was disappointed with there food. Most sushi rolls they have is made with cream cheese. me and my friend both ordered the same thing, our food came out and it was on different type of plates. These trys to hard for what it should be. The rice on the roll was room temp. Overall for 21+ dollars it was not worth it HEB has better rolls then this and the yare cheaper. Servicer was very nice and attentive.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! We wouldn’t have come the first time due to the ratings but we’re so glad that we did! We had the tuner Tower which was huge and delicious and the tempura shrimp and vegetables is some of the best I’ve ever had….I’ve lived all over the US and traveled extensively so that says a lot. We will continue to visit on our shopping trips to Brownsville. Well done! Your naysayers must not know good food

I got food poisoning within 4 hours , i had fasted all day for two days and eat here . Diarrhea and stomach pains – i ordered a ramen beef soup. Tasted like tap water. And two ningri tuna and shrimp . Vibe is off ,inexperienced sushi “chefs” they need to light up the sushi bar its dark ,they’re serving mediocre sushi in the dark. I will not be returning

Great place for a date night! The inside decorations are awesome and very different from anything in Brownsville. The Yakimeshi and their specialty rolls are a must! If you’re in a rush for lunch it’s better if you call ahead since the food does take a while to come out.

Presentation wise it’s 10/10 the ambience is calm, dim and over all chill. I ordered the “cones” (the picture shows 3) turns out to be one, first disappointment. The mayo sauce over powers everything so they all tasted the same. They brought 3 sauces and none are eel sauce (my favorite). The orange chicken was good because it’s not heavily battered and has a good sweet flavor. It’s pricey but an experience, wouldn’t come again though.

I went to this restaurant with high expectations, but the experience was very disappointing. It took an extremely long time to receive our food, about an hour. The sushi ingredients were not the best quality, and unfortunately the rest of the dishes were also disappointing. The waiter did not explain the menu well, which made the experience worse.
Although the staff was kind and willing to replace the food, the overall quality of the dishes was very underwhelming. On top of that, it also took a long time for us to receive the check, even though the restaurant was not full. I have never had an experience like this at a restaurant before, and I would not return.

Where do I even start with Soro Sushi in Brownsville? This place is an absolute disaster and a serious public health threat. I regret ever stepping foot inside – it was the most revolting dining experience imaginable.
The nightmare began in the parking lot: heroin needles everywhere, littered across the asphalt like it was some kind of junkie drop-off zone. Broken glass, trash piled up, and a sketchy vibe that screamed “turn around now.” But stupidly, I went in.
Inside was no better – filthy tables sticky with god-knows-what, floors that hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, and a pervasive stench of rot and bleach trying (and failing) to cover it up. In the restroom? Horror show. The wooden doors and baseboards were shredded with deep rodent gnaw marks, droppings scattered in the corners, and I swear I heard scratching in the walls. To top it off, massive roaches – not one or two, but a whole parade – boldly crawling across the sink, walls, and even dropping from the ceiling vent while I was in there. I bolted out without washing my hands.
The staff? Rude, inattentive, and acting like they couldn’t care less. One waiter scratched his head furiously while handling plates – dandruff or worse raining down. Orders took forever, and when the “sushi” finally arrived…
Oh god, the food. It smelled like a mix of rotting fish left in the sun and the foulest brothel alley in Reynosa after a rainstorm – that heavy, nauseating mix of decay, bodily fluids, and despair. The fish was slimy, discolored, and reeked of ammonia so strong it burned my eyes. The rice was mushy and sour, like it had been sitting out for days. I took one bite and immediately gagged – it tasted worse than… well, you know what, straight from the source. Chewy, bitter, metallic, with weird crunchy bits that definitely weren’t supposed to be there (roaches? Who knows). I spat it out and felt my stomach churn instantly. Left the plate untouched and got out of there fast – spent the rest of the night violently ill, convinced I had food poisoning.
This isn’t a restaurant; it’s a petri dish of disease waiting to happen. Roaches, rats, drugs in the lot, spoiled food
