TRUCKERS! …This place is fantastic, the food is outstanding and the service great. It’s just a 2 min walk from the truck stop “76” which is just down the road. It was worth the visit especially as a driver, if you’re looking for a good meal in a cozy environment this place is perfect.

I absolutely adore this place. Fresh food, that reminds me of Grandmas Cooking with Flare! We got the Calamari appetizer which arrived promptly, & was warm & cooked to perfection with dipping sauce that was eye rolling in the back of your head good. I LOVE their Shrimp Scampi, but tonight I had the Ribeye with Onions & Garlic.. my mouth instantly watered, absolutely delicious! My husband had the Chicken Pasta & fries on the side, he was in heaven. I love this place, it holds a very dear place in my heart. If I could give 10 stars I would. The staff is amazing, warm, & treats you like family. The atmosphere is the perfect get away atmosphere. I love it here.

What a hidden gem! We’ve gotten gas at this exit for years and had never been in here before. For our anniversary my husband surprised me with a stay at an Airbnb in Alta and our host recommended this for our dinner out. Highly recommend! Dinner was absolutely delicious…pineapple salsa on salmon is my favorite. The decor was charming, and the staff very friendly. Honestly, if it weren’t for the obnoxious people sitting at the next table over with the lady who cackled like a hyena, it would have been a perfect experience.

Atmosphere is amazing. Service is acceptable but I always have to ask for water refills. The salt and pepper shakers are impossible which is annoying considering their food is bland and flavorless. The food is very low quality, under seasoned and wildly overcooked. The chicken breast is so dry and overcooked its inedible like eating cardboard and has absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The side salad could use more effort there werent even croutons it was just lettuce, one single slice of cucumber, three slivers of carrots and one slice of a beet it was very disappointing. The cheesecake was hugely disappointing the texture was all wrong, it was thick and chewy like eating fudge not soft and fluffy, it had way to much sugar didnt even taste like a cheesecake and it was crumbly falling apart as you try to pick it up on your fork.

Dropped in after the Dutch Flat Christmas Lights Parade last night. It was supposed to be a quick look around before hopping back on the freeway for home. Gorgeous inside! Stayed for the cheese and fruit plate. Staff and patrons were sooo friendly!

There’s no place better, that’s all there is to it. It use to be more of a local hidden secret, times and population going up the hill have changed that so make sure to get a reservation if it’s a busy weekend. But you can never go wrong with anything about Monte Vista it’s magical !

Awesome staff, great pork chop, faaaaaaaaantastic pie. I had the lemon pie and it was gone in seconds. Do not miss out on dessert – even if you’re full. Splurge. Do it. I come through this area alot with my photo work, and will definitely be getting pie every single time.

My server Amy was amazing and the food was beyond what I expected for my first time coming here. The steak was cooked to order and shrimp scampi had tons of yummy garlic. They had a coffee creme brulee which I scared down with my coffee. The vibe was fall festive already and dark and intimate. There was live music as well.
