I really love this spot! The owner’s super nice and treats you like an old friend. The portions are huge and the food is unbeatable. Whenever I’m driving on I‑85 between Charlotte and Greenville, I make sure to stop here. Honestly, the best food ever!

This place is in the food court at the Gaffney outlet mall. To be honest, it was the ONLY restaurant open today inside the food court.. And they were doing business! The staff was friendly. The food was delicious AND hot! I ordered the sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken combination with lomein noodles and a spring roll on the side. While there, I overheard other patrons catching up with the staff, which makes me believe they are regulars-that’s always a good sign! I definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the mood for Chinese food or need something quick.

Best bourbon chicken on the east coast hands down! Love to go there every time I travel from Charlotte to Gaffney or Greenville. I always get the bourbon chicken with bourbon sauce on the rice. Wow!

This place was higher rated compared to other Chinese places in the area. They had several different entrees ready, so we tried a combo plate. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The fried rice is just yellow – not fried and didn’t have anything in it. The Bourbon Chicken had a sweet sauce, but was extremely fatty. The Mushroom Chicken had 2 small mushroom pieces with an unusual granulated chicken mixture. Based on this visit, I would not care to try other options here. Anyone who says this is the best Chinese they’ve ever had has never lived anywhere else to know how good it can be.

China Max is awesome! The food is always fresh and the portion sizes are more than I can eat. I love getting the bourbon sauce on my lo mein and if you like a little bit of spice, try the black pepper chicken. It is freshly made when you order it and fabulous! This is the only restaurant that has ever made it in the food court at the Yellow mall. It is because the food is great and the guy that runs the place is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. He always remembers me every time I go in there and even knows what my orders are going to be. Don’t let the line intimidate you. There is always a line because it is great and worth the wait.

Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever had from a takeout type of spot. The owner is always super friendly and really cares for his customers. He is very serious about the quality and freshness of food. I’ve never had a bad meal from here no matter what time of day I come in. There’s usually a line you have to wait in and the wait is worth it! The portions are huge and I usually get two or three meals out of it. I recommend the mushroom chicken if you like a little spice. Locals come to the mall just to get food from here. Don’t spend $10 at McDonald’s for mediocre food, spend your $10 with a small business with a fantastic owner.
