The old adage of don’t judge a book by its cover certainly is what applies here. Pulling up you may be confused with the signage. It’s ok trust me it’s Mexican fare. Walk in and it’s definitely old school … nothing fancy but that’s ok because you are about to eat AUTHENTIC MEXICAN – not Taco Bell or chipotle. The chips are freshly made and the sauces are on point. Spicy and fresh. Tacos – get the hand made tortilla because they are delicious! Combo fajitas were perfectly done. Chicken and beef. Seasoned just right. And the empanadas were equally as tasty. All in all a very good meal Ton of food for a very good value. Cooked with love and you can definitely taste the authentic!!!

My wife and I wanted Mexican tonight and decided to give La Patrona 2 in Glassboro a try.
When we arrived, we weren’t sure it was even open . . . But it was! Soon as we were seated, red and green salsa and chips were placed. I ordered 3 different tacos $4 each and my wife ordered Sopes $13 for 3 with your choice of meat. There was a little bit of a wait due to everything being made fresh, but definitely worth it. Food was amazing!!! Perfectly cooked and generous portions.. Don’t let the hand painted sign below the once Italian restaurant sign turn you away. Go and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Don’t let this aesthetics scare ya. Food is fantastic. Service with a smile. Family making a living type place. Pop in and grab a bite or take out and enjoy at home. I had the Torta Bistek, I forget what my wife ordered but we both loved it. You check out my reviews we visit Mexican restaurants once a week if not more. If looking for fancy, this isn’t the place. If looking for Margaritas only one joint in town with those. If looking for good Mexican food stop in and give them a try.

PS – Handmade Tortillas

I knew as soon as I saw the hand written signs outside this place that it would be fabulous and I was not wrong. We ordered chilaquiles and huevos rancheros which they make all day!!!! 10/10 closest to homemade Mexican food I’ve had in this area. If you are put off by the aesthetic then you can find less tasty food in a fancier place, but if what you want is something that tastes like your Mexican mom made and you are in Glassboro not home, this is the place to go.

Authentic Mexican food! It’s a small place just like the “fonditas” in Mexico I really love the food and the experience.

As soon as I saw the painted sign I knew it had to be good. And it was delicious. Also they had tacos de lengua on the menu. It’s something that’s not always easy to find.

After waiting 45 minutes for takeout i understand why…. they needed to go up to the Mexican gods and request a torta lol. Every aspect of this sandwich was phenomenal idk how else to describe it.. but get yourself a torta and some of the juiciest el pastor tacos too!! You will not be disappointed to say the least omg

We regularly order takeout from La Patrona 2 restaurant, and it never disappoints. Their nachos are absolutely amazing—both the chicken and beef options are served in huge portions, perfect for sharing (though you’ll want to keep them all to yourself!). The flavors are authentic and rich, with a Mexican flare that stands apart from the usual Tex-Mex offerings. These are definitely not your average fast-food nachos—think layers of fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned meats.

One of our favorite things to pair with the nachos is their guacamole. It’s made fresh to order, and you can truly taste the difference. The freshness is undeniable—you can almost taste the vibrant, natural flavors with every bite. The guac comes with a side of crunchy nachos, and it’s so refreshing you’ll want to eat it immediately because, with no preservatives, it’s at its best fresh.

This place is our go-to for takeout, and we can’t recommend it enough if you’re craving real, authentic Mexican flavors. Always delicious!

The food was really good. I tried the fish, pork, and steak tacos.. All of them were very good and made fresh down to the tortillas and sauces! Everything was reasonably priced, and definitely worth it! Will most definitely be back in the future for more authentic flavorful mexican food!
