THE go to for KBBQ in the Monterey area! As a repeat customer, I can safely say the food is of high quality and customer service is stellar. Pricing and quantity is also fair in my opinion; for example, my family (party of three) got a meal for 2, paid just over $100, and still had leftovers.
Let’s get these guys more business!

The food here is definitely tasty and high quality. The bulgogi was flavorful, tender, and served sizzling hot, and the side dishes (banchan) were fresh and varied. Everything tasted authentic and clearly made with care.
That said, the prices felt a bit out of place for the portions you get. The servings aren’t very large, especially considering the cost, so it doesn’t feel like the best value compared to other Korean restaurants in the area.
If you’re looking for good flavors and solid quality, this place delivers. Just be prepared that the portion sizes are on the smaller side and the bill might be higher than expected.

Went in thr afternoon. Had the Galbi Tang, very good. Big bowl, rice, and plenty of banchan. Forgot to ask but do wish it was served with gochugaru or that spicy paste (not ssamjang or gochujang), forgot to ask so no ding on them. Always seems to be one lady doing the front end work at any Korean restaurant I go to and theyre always so nice & efficient. Definitely coming back.

My husband and I absolutely loved our experience at Nak Won Korean BBQ House. The customer service was fantastic and our servers helped us better master and cook at the amazing barbecue table. We ordered the BBQ chicken and Bul Go Gi, their tender beef which we grilled. We thought that the tasty marinade made both items so delicious after we grilled it. It was a very special dining experience and we liked having all of this protein without heavy sauces. We also enjoyed many of their side dishes including the potato, rice, kimchee and more. We loved the streaming hot flavorful beef and vegetable soup as well with plenty to take home and reheat the next day. It was spacious and airy with lots of windows. This is a great place to go with family and friends and groups, too! Ample parking. There is a good reason that this restaurant has been in business for 30 years. Highly recommended!

Great fun and good foid. They were really good with getting us service when we needed something. Like someone else said it is pricey. Would like one more thing of meat witg the 60 dollar meal we got for 2. It came with 3 meats. Would have been nice to have one more also for the price. Weird choice of giving my water with a little tin cup and a plastic container. other than that, fish tank was really dirty looking. Kind of ruined the vibe. Also they had prices of paper hand written with specials at each table on the wall. I thought it kind of cheapened up the place. Good place for a novelty but wouldn’t be my go to place.

Great food! We asked the owner for recommendations, and what he recommended was super delicious! I forgot the name of the octopus dish, but we also got the bibimbap.
The owner was extremely nice! We really had fun chatting with him. If you are looking for a korean bbq, this place is a must visit.

I’ve had the best seafood stone pot today! The last one I had was in Chinhae, South Korea. The banchan and the tofu appetizer were so good. Overall, a pleasant experience. It was peak time around lunch when I came in. The owners were busy but very accommodating and friendly. This restaurant looks like a local favorite. Everyone from young to old seem to enjoy their food. The sizzling beef looks yummy so I’ll try that next time. A really good Korean restaurant and the dishes look really good. Worth the trip and will visit again!

Very authentic, home cooked Korean food for 30+ years. The broth for their ramen was amazing and the hot stone pots were a perfect blend of flavors. Definitely a hidden gem.

This was my first time having Korean food and I wasn’t sure what to order. The waitress was very patient and pointed out some great options to try. I loved all the condiments that were freshly made. I’m looking forward to going back and trying different dishes.

I am extremely dissatisfied and offended by the service at this restaurant. The staff were completely disrespectful and lacked basic manners. The moment we sat down, they were already rushing us to order, as if they couldn’t wait for us to settle. When our bibimbap arrived, the portion was ridiculous—hardly any beef and mostly vegetables. On top of that, the side dishes were only enough for one person, yet they expected the two of us to share such a small amount. The staff kept coming back to our table nonstop even when we didn’t call them, making us feel uncomfortable. While we were still eating, they had the nerve to ask if they could take away our plates and then shoved the bill at us before we were even finished. To top it off, they laughed in a way that felt insulting and degrading. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable. If this is how your workers behave, you will drive customers away and ruin your restaurant’s reputation.
