Riva at St. Rigis was absolutely spectacular. I went with my friend to celebrate her birthday, and we had a blast. The food was incredible, all the pasta is made in house makes it even better, and you can taste just all the flavors it’s so good.
The dessert deserves its own moment because it was genuinely the best dessert I’ve ever had. Completely unforgettable. I also tried both of the mocktails, and they were fantastic.
The location is another huge plus. It’s so close to the beach and surrounded by other bars and spots, making it perfect for walking around and turning dinner into a full event if you want to take a walk after or get drinks at one of the bars beforehand. Everything about Riva is stunning the atmosphere, the food, the experience. I can’t recommend it enough.

Everything was delicious. We had several pasta plates in our group (gnocchi, rigatoni, squid pasta) and chocolate cake dessert. The wine selection is a little restricted but solid. The kid meals are plenty, and the mac n cheese is impressively made from scratch with handmade pasta and cheese sauce. It is pricy, but hey it’s inside St Regis…

Quite a disappointing experience. We dined here multiple times and like it as an above average convenient option for Italian food.
Not the world’s greatest by any means. Our experience there was very disappointing yesterday. Poor service where water wasn’t even refilled and at one point server asked if we would like more water we said yes and she said I will be back with more water.She never came back.We ordered the artichoke appetizers and grilled octopus as appetizers as we loved these on our previous dining times eating hear.Apparently they change the menu and have a new chef and try he artichoke was greasy and the sauce was different and not the same as the previous menu. The grilled Octopus was not grilled uniformly.We let this pass but then the main
Course took over 1 hr to be served. The squid ink pasta came out cold that 3 of my guests ordered. When we tried to mention this after waiting for our server who was no where to be found she was dismissive of our complaint. They had mentioned the food was late because they had a large party dining outside.Being that we dine here often I wanted to speak to the manager after our 3 hr dinner. I explained that I want to give him some constructive criticism because I want them to succeed and be a top tier restaurant.
I found the managers response to all these issues also to be dismissive and at one point claiming everything was running smooth when I asked if maybe they were short staffed. I hesitated to post this review because I didn’t want to negatively reflect on there business but the fact that a manager cannot accept accountability led me to post this in hopes of making sure they address these shortcomings for their own good.

The service was great, food was excellent, atmosphere can’t be beat! This was by far our best experience dining in Sarasota so far since living here the past 4 months. Most places are casual. This is fine dining in a more relaxed atmosphere. If you like fine dining or excellent Italian food, go here!

This charming restaurant is located within the St. Regis Resort on Longboat Key. We’ve visited a few times and have always appreciated both the food and the atmosphere. The tuna carpaccio, steak, and dessert were all absolutely delicious.

Located inside of St. Regis offers breakfast and dinner. Fresh made pasta. The star was the flordia citrus and beet salad. The squid linguine was a little bit salty, although perfectly cooked Al dente, and the rigatoni was a bit on the bland side . The kids buttered pasta and rigatoni with meat sauce was excellent . Very good service and family friendly.

In starting this review, noticing their paltry rating of 3.9 I have to say, not withstanding the massive amounts of low reviews that this restaurant is situated in a fabulous St Regis setting, it’s natural beauty alone justifies at least 4.0 rating, even if you were eating a hot dog! Along with the fact that the service professionalism of ALL the staff is at a 6 star level-can’t be done better. But the entree’s must match what the building promises -and unfortunately my linguini was so incomplete and underwhelming, as to be surprising. You can’t be the in the lower half of all Italian restaurants within 20 miles -the offerings must be richer and authentic, with a more generous portion-so you can walk away satisfied as you ponder you significant check.

Beautiful location, food was not worth the price at all. The breading on my calamari fell off every piece and the bread was stale. Very disappointed in the experience but the resort is stunning. Drinks were great, but the base was $14 plus $23 for tequila to make it a “margarita”

Two out of five stars because our server was delightful, but we laughed really hard at our portion sizes. Food tasted bland and my friend’s card declined so it was really embarrassing.
