The happy hour specials are a great bargain. I loved the pot stickers for fifty cents. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sadly, the sales computer was having difficulty. I would recommend if you’re not in a hurry.

I’ve been coming here for about 15 years. Now that we don’t live in Davis anymore, we still stop by whenever we visit. The following dishes have always been consistently delicious: Red 88 fried rice with Asian sausage, and Spicy crispy eggplant. I have not been able to find a crispy eggplant like the one they make here! The ambience is great (we like to come here during slower days like Sunday since we just come for the food). During my college days I definitely enjoyed the alcoholic beverages they had here. Customer service can be a hit or miss depending on how busy it is but for the most part we always enjoy our experiences here.

ordered from Red 88 today through DoorDash. I got the eggplant tofu (spice level 3) and a lychee lemonade. The total was about $50.
Unfortunately, the drink was missing entirely, and the food was very disappointing. The eggplant tofu was dry, bland, and lacked flavor, and the packaging was poor—it didn’t feel properly packed for delivery.
For the price, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Missing items and tasteless food made this a frustrating experience. I hope the restaurant improves quality control and packaging, especially for delivery orders.

A couple of friends and I decided to get some dinner at about 6:30pm on 8/12/23, and this place was definitely the spot. Ordering was super easy with a QR code on the tables, also the ability to pay immediately and leave a tip without having to hand over your card.
This was exactly the experience we were hoping for, choosing to sit outside, we grabbed a few waters and our other drinks came out pretty dang quick. I thoroughly enjoyed the Thai tea, and the mango sticky rice came out soon after. They paired together extremely well! My friends got an order of avocado cream cheese rolls (cut into a heart <3) and chicken potstickers which were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The dipping sauces were
Our main dishes were the Yellow Curry w/potatoes, carrots and white rice (level 2 spice since it was my first time here) I’d confidently say that level 3 would have made this dish even better. And the Red 88 Fried Rice with BBQ Pork, which frankly stole the show
They did a fantastic job and I appreciate all the small things that the kitchen and staff did to make our meal top notch. You may spend about $15-$30 but you’ll more satisfied than spending the same at mcdees or jillinthebox!

Pretty nice ramen place in the middle of downtown Davis! They have outdoor seating in the middle of a blocked off street! Orders are placed through the counter and delivered through a number! They’re very pet friendly and they even bring out doggy water bowls!

Ms. Christine delivered exceptional customer service. A marked improvement has been observed since our last visit. Previously, orders were placed at the counter prior to seating; however, the current process involves seating followed by table service. Furthermore, the restroom facilities were impeccably clean.

The quality changed. First, the containers are terrible they fall apart and bust open during delivery or pickup. Whoever was making the food before was killing it but now, it’s not that good. The chicken soup tastes like dish water and I used to crave it and order it on the regular. even the mango and rice dessert is gone. I wonder what happened. ALSO THE PINEAPPLE DRINK is nothing but ice and pineapple flavored water. I’m so sad I loved this place.

Stopped by for lunch today. The food was amazing! I had the Red 88 fried rice with Asian sausage and the fried avocado/cream cheese rolls. Service was great too. Friendly staff and we didn’t wait long for the food to come out. Cool drink choices as well! Will return.

I enjoy to frequent this place. The staff are nice and the food is on point as advertised. Unfortunately the only time I took a photo of my order was during the pandemic and it doesn’t do it justice of a normal present pre-pandemic. Though the savory flavor of the Birria Noodz are worth it.
