I know the owner. He’s an awesome guy. He makes great food and cares about his customers. We order from him often for catering and the restaurant is just fantastic. Great sandwiches, prepared foods and sushi. And some great Shabbos takeout and breads. Top notch all around.
If you are visiting from out of town, it’s inside an office building. So be conscious of that. Park in the parking lot. Not on the street. They prepare quickly and wrap well for travel.

Calling Crunch the best kosher restaurant in Chicago honestly feels like an understatement. This place has quickly become a Skokie favorite and a go-to spot anytime you want amazing kosher food that actually tastes exciting and fresh. Everything on the menu is packed with flavor, creative without being over the top, and just flat-out delicious.
From the first bite you can tell they care about quality. Whether you’re grabbing burgers, chicken, or any of their comfort food classics, everything is done right and hits that perfect balance of fun and authentic. It’s the kind of place you end up bringing friends and family to because you know they’re going to love it.
For me, Crunch is more than just another kosher spot. It’s become part of the local Skokie food scene and a place I’m always excited to come back to. If you’re looking for the best kosher restaurant in Chicago, start here. Period.

What a great find. I mean that literally. It is inside an office building with no signage (go in the side door). The atmoshpere is not elegant–counter service with tables and chairs nearby, but menu is inspired. Everything from burgers to beef wellington. Each item is prepared creatively with interesting ingredients. Shimon is friendly and happy to make suggestions. We split appetizers, a burger, and sushi.

Great taste, supremely expensive. I ordered a steak wrap – it cost $22. It was delicious. As I was walking out of the store the person behind the counter said, “You’re still gonna be hungry” – they were right.

The food was great, but it is a little pricey. The restaurant is difficult to find since its inside a building and the seating area is inviting but very small. Regardless none of that would deter me from having a nice lunch there with some delightful kosher food!

I recently visited Crunch in Skokie and unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. I ordered the fried Brussels sprouts and cubed pastrami dish, which sounded promising, but turned out to be a greasy mess.
The Brussels sprouts were drenched in oil, making them feel heavy and soggy. The pastrami, too, was overly oily and lacked any real flavor. The dish desperately needed a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a side of dipping sauce to cut through the richness.
For a restaurant that claims to serve creative and healthy food, I was surprised by the lack of attention to detail in this dish. With a little more balance and restraint, this could have been a great meal. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Have had their Crunch spicy tuna roll a few times which is always amazing (like downtown restaurant amazing) and their fried chicken strips today were heavenly. Best recipe I’ve ever tasted with a perfect crisp that didn’t get soggy and warmed up well later, and the sauces were great. Huge fan. Possibly obsessed.

Came today and got the bbq steak wrap, steak crackle pop and loaded fries. wraps were terrific and came with the best fries we have ever had! the loaded fries were not to our taste, so they made us a new portion that was much better!
