Home of Fairview’s favorite sammies! Deli & grocery shop for artisanal breads, sandwiches, and baked goods like cinnamon rolls, banana bread and cookies. The deli counter is the heart of it all. You won’t find factory slices or neon cheddar here — just thickly stacked, thoughtfully sourced meats and cheeses, on homemade breads that taste like they’ve been refined over years — because they have. Some folks say the secret’s in the accouterments, while others say the secret’s in the hands that make it. Both notions make us grin.

Cool market tucked up the road a bit, but if you find it, there is plenty of parking and welcoming greetings. Fairly broad selection of goods – basically, it is most of what you’d want in a pinch. The deli counter is their centerpiece though. Get a sandwich and take some cheese home. You’ll be glad you did!

The female behind the counter was very nice and shares a story with us. We went in only for Amish butter and walked out with the butter, cinnamon rolls, and egg nog. The egg nog was more milky and thinner than a commercialized one. I liked the farm one better than the Southern Comfort brand, but my husband and daughter preferred the SC. We love the Amish butter.

This little market is a true hidden gem — abundantly adorable and serving hands-down the best sandwiches in town. The bread is made in-house daily, and the meats and cheeses are sliced to order — so fresh and so tasty. Highly recommend the Muffuletta and the Reuben! I’ve lived in the area for 6 weeks and have already eaten from there 3 times. This quickly became the top place for us to introduce family to when they visit. The sandwiches are out of this world. So many options of meats and cheeses. Delicious pickles. Plus the country store has so many things to take home.

This is by far one of Fairview’s hidden gems! I felt like I was pulling up to my great aunt’s old farmhouse. This place used to be an old Amish deli and is pretty much the same! You can order deli sandwiches to go or you can have a seat on the porch! Everything is made there. They also have a small little store with canned goods available. You got to check this play out!

I walked in in a busy Saturday afternoon when the staff was overwhelmed with customers and some called out team members.
With only thirty minutes and never having been here, I had to pivot on a sandwich order when I realized how many folks were ahead of me.
When I asked the manager how long the wait would be, I could sense the frustration in his voice. I decided to just look around for something grab and go.
As I was browsing, the same manager called me over and said if I could pick from one of two sandwiches, he could get one to me in time.
That kind of patience and customer service are rare today and I can’t say enough how much it was appreciated.
Then I got the sandwich…
I would’ve cancelled my appointment and waited an hour if I’d realized how good it was going to be.
I had the muffuletta and everything about it was out of the park. Delicious meats, inspired giardinieria, not dripping but sauced well.
I scarfed that thing down and structured my next day to go by again and grab a sandwich early.
I added some locally raised pork belly and had a really nice conversation with the staff.
I say support this kind of quality food and service, and like all things in life, be patient and good things will come to you.

Lovely, family owned and operated restaurant and general store! Great, friendly service by the owners, and wonderful, rustic atmosphere. Cinnamon roll and coffee was amazing, and we stocked up on tons of Amish made fresh fruits and cheeses. Don’t go to a chain, support this local business!

What a hidden gem right outside of Asheville! Huge sandwich offerings with plenty to choose from! A little pricey but worth it for the size and quality. A good selection of local goods and a wonderful porch to hang out and eat on. Definitely recommend.

You’ve NEVER had a sandwich like this. For sure the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my 25 years living in WNC. Not to mention they have incredible banana pudding and plenty of other snacks and treats! The stop here is worth it!!
