I ate at the Escondido location a very long time ago. My preferred deli had closed for the evening, so I thought I’d give this location a try.
I had a meatball sandwich, simple and hard to get wrong. The sauce was bland and the meatballs were terrible. I guess my palate is too refined, lol.

Was a fan of the Escondido location so I tried this one. Sandwiches are just as good. However, I have a major problem with the prices here. I like Agrusas in Escondido because it is a delicious, filling, and most importantly, a fair price. That last bit is what this location messed up. Compared to Escondido, everything will be more expensive at this location. I guess they can get away with it since there’s really nowhere else to eat around here. What a shame though. Staff and food were both fantastic. As for prices, two big thumbs down
A big part of what made Agrusas so great is that it was affordable quality food. I guess now they cost as much as any other overpriced junk. Guys, they’re sandwiches. Sandwiches are supposed to be cheap.
Update December 2025: I have come back yo change my review to one star. The sandwhich was limp and soggy, there was barely any meat and way too much lettuce. I will not be coming back anymore.

Wow! Some good looking subs with good service! Everyone here is friendly and this is a great addition to Rincon. My go to is of course the agrusas original and the turkey is also bomb!

This sandwich worse than a school cafeteria serving. It was glorified bologna and less than fresh ingredients. Not worth the money.

Freshly baked bread every day. Original just the way it comes, never disappoints. Absolutely the best sub, if you want a really good italian sandwich Agrusa’s is it.

Delicious huge sandwiches! They make it warm and slightly toasted. We didn’t pay attention to the size and got twice as much food as expected. The full size is actually like four sandwiches. A little salty to the taste. Goes well to replenish electrolytes after hiking.

Our family of four was visiting a friend at a nearby ranch and checked Google maps to see what was in the area. So lucky we found this sandwich shop! The staff was so helpful and friendly. They gave us some of their house dressing on the side for my “picky eater” son to try for free, and suggested lightly toasting my daughter’s sandwich because she just got braces. I wouldn’t have even thought of that!
The sandwiches are huge! My husband and I shared a 16-in and it was plenty for both of us. The bread is amazing and the meat portions are generous. Just the right balance! Next time we will try the pizza roll and potato salad. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!

Holy cow! Why did I wait to try this place?! I had my kid pick up a sandwich for me after being exhausted from holidays. I couldn’t be more impressed. The bread, flavor, friendliness and accuracy (THAT part is hard to find in pick up/to go orders) — I’m hooked. I got the original. The portion size for price (just under 12 bucks for an 8″ sub that filled two of us up), the quality of ingredients, texture — my teen who hates slimey/mushy chain subs loved this place and stole half, no soggy funk here. Getting my kid to like something new…that is a miracle right there! 11/10 stars!
