This was my first time at any Azul location, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for great Mexican food. Our group called about 15 minutes in advance, and they were able to accommodate us quickly and attentively, even with the restaurant being fairly busy. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy, our group could easily hear one another. The restaurant was decorated nicely for Halloween. Our table enjoyed all of our meals, and the service was quick and timely. The only thing I would change is more meat instead of onions in the burrito. However, I’d definitely come here again!

Don’t waste your money here, there’s plenty of better mexican restaurants in Charleston.
I was home sick, so I ordered a chicken tortilla SOUP to-go, it cost me $24 total. Only to get home and realize they gave me a massive pile of rice. Complete waste of money. I reached out to the restaurant about it, and they did nothing.

I’ve been to all the Azul’s locations. They are all consistent. This location was no different. Great service, great food, great atmosphere definitely my go to place in Charleston for Mexican food.

Service was horrible. Was there almost 2 hours and only got drinks. Everyone who came behind us (Caucasian) got their food less than 15 min of arrival. Server (Fernanda) and manager was very rude to us when I asked how long the wait would be for our food. The manager told us either we want the food or not. And not one time were we rude to anyone. We addressed her kindly from the beginning. She didn’t even crack a smile with us when we complemented her. But she was smiling with every other table she serve. VERY RACIST!

We have eaten here often at the James Island location! However I do not think I will be back. One time we ordered their Pepe burrito before closing and the chicken was impossible to eat it was so gross and unable to even chew it! Fast forward to our dine in experience and the chicken tenders I ordered for my kids looked like waxy plastic. Never seen anything like it. The chicken in my enchiladas smelled like wet dog. This all needs to be addressed on what products you are using but I am officially no longer a customer.

Valentina’s service was outstanding! She was incredibly helpful navigating the picky palates of our three kids, offering great recommendations that everyone enjoyed. My wife raved about her Fresh Margarita, and the salsa was delicious with fresh, crispy chips. Our food arrived quickly, and most importantly, everyone was happy with their meal. We can’t say enough good things about the fantastic service we received!

Came here last night for dinner. Started off with chips and salsa with a side queso. The queso tasted amazing but could have been thicker. It was a little too runny and tan off the chips. I ended up getting the quesadilla fajita and it tasted amazing. My only complaint was it was so wet it soaked through the tortilla and was not a hand held entree at that point.

Pretty standard fair for Mexican food around here. Decent prices, lots of options, a little on the bland side for some items but quality elements for sure. Great rice and ground beef. Vehicle entrance from the side street. Neat vibe in the inside.

I eat here minimum once a week, but often 3x/ week for lunch.
Great tacos, fresh, flavorful salsa. Very quick service for lunch in/out. Tacos come up usually less than 5 minutes. Their shrimp tacos have nearly 2x the shrimp, and thaneverywheree else in town.
The shredded beef is also amazing.
The only issue is the intermittent draft cooler. So ask for a sample. Sometimes extra cold 30F but sometimes 50F. If the sample is icy, I get a draft if not a bottle.

I went with My Friends to try the food, and it was more than what I expected. I got the molcajete tha comes with chiken and steak, it was amaizing, the meat was tender and flavorfull, the amount of food that comes in every plate can easelly feed 2 people, to acompany My food I got a spicy cucumber margarita and it was delicius got a fresh flavor and the right amount of tequila in it, i’ll defenitly go back there to try more of the Big menu that they have. I tottally recomend going there if You want to try some good mexican food.
