We (grandma, cousin, sister, and 7 kids) were looking for a quick bite to eat before we went to the Mississippi River museum.
Upon walking in, the younger waitress did “nose goes” immediately. Big turn off to witness. Because why are you working a job with the public, if you don’t like people, sweetheart?
THANKFUL we had the waitress we did. She did an amazing job, was so pleasant and kind. She complimented us several times on our 7 children being so well behaved. Thanks for making our lunch a good one, and I’m sorry you gotta work with that miserable human lol.

This spots one of my childhood favorites still come here for lunch the Maide rite sandwiches and onion rings are amazing and price is very competitive it’s worth every penny. Great service as well and always quick. The old diner design is another plus to it not many spots offer that nowadays. Their breakfast speacial is also very good and worth the price 2 eggs hashbrowns bacon or sausage and toast for $8.Highly Recommend if you haven’t tried this place

Had a chance to visit this iconic chain. Very pleased with the experience. There’s nothing else like a maid-rite sandwich, it tastes kinda like a slider especially with mustard/pickle/onion relish they top it with. The onion rings were also really good, skip the pork tenderloin. Had to get a Vanilla Malt Shake which rounded out the meal perfectly. Restaurant was very clean and the staff was extremely polite. Will return.

Oh my oh my. This place is amazing. I had the chili cheese open face. I can’t eat anything else because it’s so good that’s all I want. Very much an old diner style atmosphere. My belly hurts now I ate so much. You won’t be disappointed or leave still hungry. Just wish they had one back at home in Rogers, AR. Did I mention the prices are really cheap? Less than $10 did combo including tip!!!

May be known for the sandwiches but breakfast is pretty good. Very standard so don’t be looking for bran muffins and parfait yogurt. Is sausage eggs bacon and choice of white or wheat. $6.50…..ill be back

If you’ve ever spent any time in the Dubuque, IA area and have not been told by locals to go to Maid-rite for lunch?? You missed out!! This place is as noteworthy at the Mines of Spain!! No trip complete until you have eaten a Maid-rite crumbled beef sandwich! My favorite is the BBQ Texas burger!! But my husband grew up on them and he will always get the original!
Thierry menu has expanded to include something for everyone! They now serve breakfast! We are going soon for biscuits and gravy!
