It was Saturday Night and we were trying to figure out what we were gonna do for dinner. We had already decided that we would go to the Mei Kong Plaza to do some shopping, and we figured we would eat at one of the establishments that were there.
We hadn’t had hot pot in a very long time, and we figured we would give Haidilao a try. I thought their concept was extremely interesting as they have a restaurant and a gift shop right next door that sells all types of cute Asian novelties.
The restaurant is definitely family-oriented. They had a few areas set up for people who were having birthdays. I found the restaurant to be extremely well-lit, and the food presentation was very appetizing. I found it a bit challenging, going through the menu on an iPad, but that’s just because I am an old-fashioned kind of guy.
The food quality was very good and very fresh. I would advise at least one person in your party to spend the extra $3.99 for the additional bar so that you can get different spices to accent the taste of your food. In my opinion, my soup, which was the mushroom was very bland, and I needed to spice it up. I just wish I had had my Vietnamese fish sauce for that meal. Note to self: bring Vietnamese fish sauce next time I visit this establishment.
If you pay the $3.99 extra, you get the additional appetizers and spice bar as well as dessert, which consists of various Asian delights, and you also have a choice of getting vanilla or strawberry ice cream if you ask your server. Our server was extremely personable and dead. A great job checking on us during our meal. All in all, it was a good experience and we will be back.

They have high quality and fresh foods and wonderful services. The waiter of my table, Dave, he is so nice. Always offering helps and reminding my daughter of the famous face-changing shows for two times. She was so happy, it’s really a kid friendly restaurant. They will give little gift and free kid meals to children. We’re going to visit them every month.

We went on a Wednesday with a reservation, and we needed to switch the amount of people. They were very accommodating and kind. Our server, Yoric, was attentive, kind, and funny. He was just awesome like the rest of the staff!
The food came out very fast and we ordered the perfect amount. Everything was great. Our favorite was the spicy pork bone broth, sweet potato vermicelli, ribeye, and masago fish cake/balls. We also got the Chuck flap, pork belly, beef belly, assorted mushrooms, and assorted veggies. It was the perfect amount of food for 3 adults and 1 toddler.
We really enjoyed our time here. The restaurant is beautiful, and I loved the color scheme.

Oh Haidilao is so good!!!! A variety of flavors and fun!!
I attended a birthday party and they really do go all out!! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We did run into a situation but it was handled professionally and accommodating was provided.
The food was so good! We tried alittle bit of all of it! So much to order and so much to drink! I do not recommend the boba milk tea (not good). I do recommend their cocktails!! The dessert bar is small but still good! The prices bar was great! Chili sauce, onions, cilantro, spices and so much more! Also they had yummy fruit!!
Getting started the staff starts it up and we wait for the broth to boil! They will bring you a menu and you can order as you go or all at once! There are a lot of add ons! You cook your meat for 15 seconds (if I remember correctly, if not correct me) add your sauces in your plate! It can get expensive but it is well worth it!
The atmosphere is lively to say the least! A lot of happy energy and excitement! They provide shows such had dancing, noodle party and so much more! It’s so much fun!
Please watch your kids while you are eating here! I had a kid bump into me not once but 2 times.

Our experience was 1000000/10! I’m gluten free and our waitress Isabelle was super knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was so tasty and fresh! I definitely recommend Haidilao in Mesa and ask for our waitress Isabelle!! Superb service, the whole dining experience felt like luxury. They even gave us snacks to take home!

Duy was the best server we’ve had at a restaurant in YEARS! He was so kind, gave great menu suggestions, was hyper attentive and all-around amazing. Food was amazing, too! Gotta love a good hotpot! The spicy pork was our favorite. I do wish they had kabocha, but with so much to choose from, we didn’t miss it terribly. Plus, they had a great kids meal, too. Super child friendly!

Thanks to our server Carlos, he is very helpful, friendly and attentive even though it was extremely busy. Carlos made whole experience even better!
