My husband and I are relatively new in the area and after discovering Mike & Kathy’s Good Old Days, we have stopped out to have dinner a few times. We had supper tonight (New Year’s Eve) which was wonderful! The filet has been delious every time! We understand Good Old Days ownership is changing ownership, and want to say thanks to the current owners for the delicious food we’ve enjoyed and hope the new owners good luck.

Kathy the owner – as the owner you should learn how to respect your customers. Bitching at someone for having less people than expected because the others are sick? Cmon. Interrupting people talking because “you need a table” HOW RUDE. News flash, your attitude is going to RUIN your business. I understand having rough days, but seriously get your act together and learn some respect for those who are here to support you & your staff.

Family style fish and chicken fry on Friday nights is the best in the area.
Unfortunately, we tried the Saturday steak night and was very disappointed. Prime rib (king cut) was ordered med-rare and it came out med-well. Filet was ordered medium and it came it well done. Our (excellent) server did acknowledge they looked overdone and she apologized and offered to make it right, but we didn’t want to wait or waste the meat so we ate what we had. Both were still tender, so there’s that. Hopefully it was just a one-off mistake. We may try again.
Regarding the atmosphere, it was very warm in the dining room. There are windows there, but they say “Do not open”. It was upper 60s so opening a couple of the windows slightly would have improved the temperature.

My husband propose to me here last year, we love the views out here. Just so gorgeous, BUUUUT would recommend going for dinner rather than anything else if you would like good service. Broasted chicken is delicious !!!!

FANTASTIC AYCE fish and chicken on Friday nights! Served family style with coleslaw, boasted taters, German potato salad, baked beans, and rye bread. Very reasonably priced, with a nice view of the lake. You can dine indoors of out. There can be a wait, and the seating can be a bit tight, but you won’t mind once you take a bite!

As usual the food was delicious. 4 of us had the All u can eat Fish fry. We were seated in the lake side off the main dining room and it was very cold out there. Many people ate with their coats on which doesn’t make for a pleasurable dining experience.

The food was great! We stopped in from the campground multiple times during the 4th of July. The bartender Linda was awesome. She ran her butt off and was super nice.
