Love the Mamma mia’s in Plymouth! This one… it’s beautiful inside, but it’s okay food & service.
We ordered our drinks at first, & we got bread. Then, I noticed our waitress kept talking with all the other waiters and waitresses to get them to look over at us? Very uncomfortable.
We then ordered our starter (Mozzarella sticks). They were great! I love mozzarella sticks so I’m picky about them. This place for sure has really good ones!!
We ordered our two pizzas, 1 large cheese and 1 large BBQ chicken.
The BBQ chicken was great! & as you can see in the photos, my cheese pizza looked great! Until I took a bite, I noticed the bottom of the pizza was completely black, tasted like charcoal. I couldn’t eat more than 1 slice. I checked the other slices, and all of them were the same. ☹️
Very upsetting because I was craving a nice pizza tonight. I asked our waitress, Lauren, if she could take it off the bill and she said yes! Happy we got our money back!
Not sure if I’d come back, but if you’re getting something other than pizza it might be good! It’s such a beautiful restaurant!

Have been coming to Mamma Mia’s in Hanover for years and since the renovations and expansion, quality of food have diminished greatly. My previous reviews were rated 5 stars and now 2 stars. Service was lacking. Waited over an hour since we sat down to put our order in. Then waited to get the waitresses attention before we could refresh drinks. Another half hour for apps to arrive and it wasn’t good. The large cheese pizza is no longer a size large pizza. More like a medium pizza. Barely fitting the pizza pan when the large pizza use to overhang the pan. Tasteless crust with barely enough cheese. Maybe an off night. Will give them another chance and try other items besides the pizza.

Generous portions of Italian-American comfort food. A great spot for a family dinner, whether you want Takeout or Dine-In. They had Football on the TVs when I was there, so if you like to have a couple of drinks and food while watching the game, this was a cozy spot.

As always a delightful experience dining at Mama Mia’s. Friendly, helpful, waitstaff, large piping hot entrees. My chicken parmigiana was so big, half went home for later. It was so tender I never had to pick up my knife to cut it. It was flavorful and very tasty. Mama Mia’s red sauce is just to my liking and one of my favorites I’ve ever had in a restaurant. If you want a casual, priced right, home style meal you can’t go wrong with Mama Mia’s in Hanover.

Where to begin. So freaking good. The sauce was amazing. Had the mamas special (combo?) Meatballs, eggplant and seafood stuffed mushrooms with spaghetti. I ate it all. Definitely will be back to try more. I wish I had taken a Pic to share.

Atmosphere is meh. Service is maybe 4 out of 10. Very limited. Tables are really close to another. Food was comparable to chef boyardee. Hardly any flavor. The “home made” pasta was awful. Not impressed at all.
Overall experience was garbage. Maybe I’ll go back and try a slice?

Service is horrible. Called in for takeout. They gave the pizza they made for me to another customer. Had to wait for another to be made. No apologies no concessions. Girls at the counter more interested in counting tips than providing service.

I just want to mention the disappointment in the recent change to the Tuesday dinner for two. The change to lunch portions and also a price increase. Lunch with the senior discount would likely be less expensive. We always enjoyed the Tuesday dinner and would also go on another night. With this change, we will only be going once a week now. I would also suggest offering a size in between the lunch and dinner portion for the dinner for 2.

Our waitress forgot to put our order in, and it was up to me to ask her where our food was. She made no attempt on her own to check with the kitchen
Bathroom was dirty, no paper towels and wastebasket overflowing
