Super small location kinda tucked away from everything .. but it works , well! Great food , hot and fresh (the fries are so good which is hard to find these days ) , the staff was very polished , dressed well , and the store was super clean! Not your typical Dairy Queen ! Great place to eat outside too because there is great patio seating for warmer days and it has a fireplace too! We loved it and will be back for sure!

We showed up close to closing time and they greeted us with a friendly smile and took our orders. The store was really clean and all the employees were super kind and respectful. I would highly recommend stopping in if your in Mineral Wells Texas.

Out of two DQs in town this one wins hands down!!! The new store is beautiful and functional, the food is always fresh and hot. Service is very good and knows how to do their jobs. Bathroom is spotless, lobby looks like you could eat off of any surface.

Wow! Come check out the brand new building and help support this multi generational family owned and operated DQ. Built directly behind where the old DQ set, which is now a parking lot for the new site. This is Dairy Queen at its best.

The best! Hickey’s DQ is a local favorite, but they don’t mind sharing their #1 food/ice cream spot with visitors. Owned by the Hickey family for multiple generations, this DQ is an iconic treasure of Mineral Wells! On my last visit, it was Sam Hickey’s 60th birthday, and there he was making fresh onion rings. Thank you, Sam, Charlee, and the rest of the Hickey family and staff for awesome treats, delicious eats!

On this visit this was the last day to eat in the old building. Hickey’s Dairy Queen has been around for years. This building was iconic for this small town and I went to school with the owner. The food and service here is the best. It will be sad to see the building gone.

Now I understand what sets this DQ apart from other ones! They are family owned and this diner has been in their family for many generations! They are able to serve DQ items without having corporate over head like other ones. The STAFF is all related and they go above and beyond to make sure everything Great! They are the friendliest /happiest BEST service staff I have ever seen in any Dairy Queen!!
The food is AWESOME TOO!
They go above and beyond with their food items! The blizzards here are the BEST! They make sure that you get the topping mix/ flavor of your choice with alot mixed well into the blizzard. The topping mix is not just dumped on top like other DQ’s.
Burgers and fries are GREAT!!
Chicken tenders and gravy yummy too!
It is small inside so make sure not to come during lunch rush and they are only opened during the week monday -friday.
