Was in the area at lunchtime and decided to give this place a try. Ordered catfish and shrimp plate with okra and green beans. The place is old but was decorated ok. My plate and sides were delivered to my table in short time. Both the shrimp and catfish had traditional seasoned cornmeal. Both tasted great and were cooked perfectly. The green beans and okra were also very good. Service was great as three different staff came by to check in on me and refilled my tea. I did enjoyed dining here.

This restaurant is a gem! It has charm when you walk in the door & the friendly staff are all so welcoming. The food is delicious & makes you start planning your next trip back. I went in craving the chicken tenders which were delicious, but after trying the fish I loved it even more, & the fried okra is my favorite side dish. Southern Fried is a must try for great food & friendly service.

The food is delicious and the customer service is really good. The restaurant is so clean and the them just looks amazing. the only negative thing I do have to mentioned is that is took us a while to get our order. Other than that I really enjoyed the restaurant and the food! I will definitely go back again! 🙂

Hands down the best fried fish and shrimp around. The fries were also very good. We took our food to go, but the ambiance in the restaurant was very cozy and welcoming. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I enjoyed perusing the historical photos of old Mission at the register counter while our food was prepared. The owner (Bobby…sorry if I misspelled it) came out to greet us and was very friendly. She sent us off with our order and some amazingly delicious soup she wanted us to try. I’m so glad she did because that soup was PHENOMENAL! I even called the restaurant to tell her so myself. I don’t why we’d waited so long to try Southern Fried, but I guarantee it won’t be long until we’re back again.
