Food was absolutely delicious. The chef lamb special was one of my favourite ever curries. The lemon prawn dish was very tasty and original.

Four of us recently had the Sunday ‘all you can eat, Buffet and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented in individual copper pans. Be prepared to wait little while for each course as they are cooked fresh, well worth the wait. Service was excellent with staff being very attentive and helpful. Warning, don’t over order as the portions are not reduced in size just because it it a buffet, highly recommended and excellent value for money.

A truly mixed bag.
5.15 Saturday evening bagged a table for 2 without booking. Great.
Waited 5+ mins for a menu.
Waiter took wife’s drinks order (soda & lime) & water for table, but told the barman Lemonade & lime! Some back & forth later, they don’t have soda (it’s on the menu) & revised drinks order taken, plus table water again.
We got our drinks but no water still, & ordered meals:
Special biriani (my reference dish)
Tandoori chicken on the bone
Coconut rice & a chana dish.
6pm meals arrived!
My Biriani was good, well cooked & spiced, tasty.
Tandoor mixed grill with 1 chicken leg, lamb & pork chops, etc!
Coconut rice tasted strongly of onions, not coconut.
Chana dish was nice.
Again, not as ordered, and still no table water. Asked for water again!
Wife started eating the chicken as we’re very hungry by now & another waiter came to check food was OK. Explained it’s nice but not as requested, he picked up the mixed grill & said he’d get a tandoor chicken, didn’t ask just took it!
Stopped him, too late & hungry to muck around. I tasted the other chops, pork & lamb were both poor quality, not much meat but spiced well.
They didn’t charge for mixed grill, we did get water eventually, and the barman was very apologetic, understood things hadn’t gone well from the start.
Toilets were clean, restaurant was clean, atmos was OK, barman was nice, but the other staff were quite rude to be honest.
We won’t eat there again, too much hard work for average, incorrect food.
This is the longest & weirdest restaurant review I’ve ever left, and I’ve reviewed loads on Google & trip advisor. Shame as it could be decent, maybe we just caught a bad night.

First time visit to this relatively new arrival on Street High St. The young lad serving was excellent. The food was delicious. The best I’ve had in a while. The restaurant is quite small so the tables are a little cramped but not horribly. Due to it being unlicensed if you want alcohol you need to bring your own. There is no problem with them supplying wine or beer glasses and they do not charge corkage which is a bonus.
All in all a very pleasant evening and for £5 they will deliver to Moorlinch. Another bonus. We will definitely be getting our curry here again.

I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants, all over the Country. Selecting just one as the best is extremely difficult.
That been said, this place has just taken my number 1 spot. Everything from start to finish was delicious. Faultless. Definitely going back there. The Sunday buffet is a must.

Very well prepared and presented cuisine with excellent flavour profiles. The basmati was perfectly cooked with hints of saffron and exotic spices. Meats were tender and of top quality and was able to taste each ingredient rather than just being overwhelmed with spice. Vegetables and tomatoes were clearly of fresh origin and not that of frozen or canned variety.Very well done Sam and staff……. I’m certain your skills will equate to continued success!!

Very nice freshly cooked meals, full of flavour and balanced spices. We have had a takeaway meal twice now and both have been very consistent and hot enough to eat when we got home. Allow yourself time when you order your food for a takeaway as it can take slightly longer than estimated on the order acknowledgement. However it is very much worth waiting for!

We ordered Take Away meal for 2., which was simply fantastic! I can’t recall the last time we had Indian food this good. My mouth was watering from start to finish and can’t wait to sample more from the menu. We will probably try to book a table and sample the service as well as the food? Simply AWESOME! Thank you
